Thanks gents. Trying to figure out repair strategy. The mirrors just get replaced naturally. The big dents (box, hood, fender) panel replacement maybe. But the A-pillar and above the driver's door, I don't know. Just leave them maybe?

A little of this and a little of that.

First off, I’m so sorry that has happened to you, that totally sucks. And
If I were you I’d claim it on my insurance and let them pay the whole thing, minus your deductible.

A little of this and a little of that.
If you did claim it on insurance it would be a comprehensive claim so it shouldn’t make your rates go up in the future.

Oh, no! I'm sorry for this horrible slight of nature and offended on your behalf.

Also, grateful your truck was unoccupied when calamity struck, since freak accidents can happen anywhere in any circumstances. If you have comprehensive insurance, I vote you put in a claim. This is why you have it, and that there will be thou$ands to repair... and bug you if you don't get it fixed. I mean, that's a Tundra. And you're on a Tundras forum. You love your Tundra.

    On the new rig ALREADY?

Oh ya, insurance got the call. Good to know about the rates, I'll be watching to see if they try to make any hikes. I have all my vehicles and some other policies with them and haven't made a claim in 20 years, they'd better not start asking for more, they've been doing nothing buy holding their hand out. They're not so bad really. lol

    Gotta do it!

Ya, nature is always trying to kill us.

    Avon.

They aren't too bad, I've known most in the office for a long time. But there are still rules to follow.

Sunday night, wet and heavy snow. Closed the passes until late Monday morning.

Funny you say that. With this particular stand of trees, the aphids and birds nesting then shitting on my truck, I've been openly vocal of my wish to burn them to the ground. But the shade is so nice and they're not really my trees.
    ___________________________________________________________________________
Thanks to all for being sympathetic to my whining about something that in the big picture is not that big of a deal, it's just a drag to have to deal with. Accidents, nature, and shit in general happens and we have to roll with it.

Insurance got my call and it'll get fixed. There may be a delay though, the body shop says that they're slammed with all the locals that were in Denver when a gnarly hail storm hit them there. I have my original mirrors (somewhere) that I'll reinstall to make it legal for runs to the grocer. I'll keep in touch with the body shop to keep tabs on when things appear to be easing, I'd rather wait and give them all the time they need to do a quality job and to not bother and distract them with "Done yet?" inquiries. I can bicycle/walk to work and bother my friends when I need a lift to the post office and such. That's why we put up with their rubbish, right? :argue:

Given the size and depth of the dents in the front fender and hood, I'd speculate that those panels would get replaced. The dent in the bed, I don't know. The dents to the A-pillar and cab above the door, I guess would be cut out and replaced with small patches? All the dents are way to big and/deep to push out and mud, I would think. The metal would be way to stretched, and we all know that we don't want Bondo on our vehicles. Speculation/thoughts/opinions/experience?

    2014 Red Tundra CM SR5
Wynnded - I'm not sure how bad the damage is on the A-pillar and onto the roof, but if the safety cage was affected they may not repair it. Some insurance companies have rules about that. It doesn't look that bad from the photos you posted, but just wanted to point that out just in case. Hopefully, it will all come back together relatively easily. Good luck.

I'm pretty confident that they're just dents to the outer sheet metal. I'd thought about that too. None of the windows broke/cracked, so that's a good sign.
