I just wanted to clarify which surgery I'll be getting.
The reverse is MUCH more intensive with a much longer recovery.
I'll be off work for at least 6 months.
I probably won't have enough punches for the year to earn all my vacations for 2026.
But that's OK, I'm getting the knees done in 2027 with another 6 months off, and then I'll retire......

Yes, if I went to the school I would have just been another person they would have to deal with and hinder their job (which I did not want to do) from ensuring the children are safe.

More marbling than I like and the butcher sliced it thicker than I usually do, but should still taste good.

I looked at my phone and noticed two (close) cop friends of mine were blowing up my text. They alerted me, "there is a student live streaming with a firearm at XX school. Numerous cars en-route. No further details"
Like any father, her safety is MY priority and ALWAYS will be my priority, so I called her - she failed to answer
I BLEW up the chat with the wife, her and I with" LEAVE SCHOOL NOW"
"NOW"
"LEAVE RIGHT NOW!"
"NOW!"

The wife came running upstairs, with tears and the face of fear on her face. I told her I have it under control, and here is what I received. Our daughter then called me. She put me on speaker and the school staff was saying she is not allowed to leave. I was explicit, basically saying IDGAF she is leaving and is leaving now, I. DONT. CARE.

She returned home shortly after and I continued to receive text updates from my buddies. They pulled the kids out of class who apparently had this video and determined the video was several years old, fortunately.

None the less, many schools out here (mainly elementary/middle) no longer allow phones to be with students. Our youngest (middle school) has an iWatch with data for this exact reason. He/us can communicate via watch if needed along with calls.

I am sure the school isnt happy with me...truth is I DONT GIVE A FUCK. My kids safety will ALWAYS be in my charge; always.

Fake video or not this incident is unfortunately a sour reminder of all that is wrong in the world. It hits real close to home for many when these incidents come up. Thank goodness she came home safely and all is well.

That's what thought from the size of your smoke box but I've also seen commercial dehydrators with that kind of capacity. Looks like some tasty snacks will be yours by this evening. How long do you plan to cook and what temp? I need to try this.

The video was real, just apparently from two or three years prior. Just glad someone said something to whoever and reported it. That isnt a dice I want to roll.

I do 160 and since my smoker is very well seasoned, I just do one round of wood chips at the beginning otherwise it gets too heavy of a smoke taste for how I like it. Time depends on a few things, but this will go longer because it's sliced thicker. I just keep an eye on it every now and then, rotating and flipping as needed.

For those who have enjoyed gazing at my meat, here is the end result.

@OldGuy03 to answer your question about how long, I put it in around 10:45 and just finished. So around 9ish hours. Some comes out earlier as I said, have to monitor/rotate/flip, etc.
