Looking for feedback on those who either have CBI or C4 sliders

Pricing is not a concern and would prefer a real life experience

I went CBI for full coverage on my DC, I think you have more options with a CM. Overall I'm happy with them.

I will say the CBI powder coat is failing at the 2 year mark, no road salt, but desert sand seems to have done it in. Going to pull off, sandblast, and try SteelIT next.

good intel. Appreciate that. I prefer the esthetics of CBI. The lines are clean. But CbI seems to have a bad wrap with quality and fitment

Are you married to either of brands?

there is a ton of options available that I have seen and have hands on. I personally am running SDHQ because lightest weight and no drill installation. But am high-lighting some of the hands down winners in my book.

check with @memario1214 to see what other options he may have for you as well.

@sdhq_offroad makes a great set (no drill)

Westcott Designs makes a great set with quite a few customization options:

White Knuckle Offroad makes a great set:

Demello makes a great set (no kick out available)

All great Options and appreciate you bringing those to my attention.

of all of those I think the athletics of CBI and C4 are still my favorite.

    From a functional perspective…

    c4 is 2 piece bolt-together design. 7500+ truck i’d like 1 piece inner and outer rails…

cbi like the demelo does not have kick outs which has saved countless bedside crunches for quite a few folks we know….

if aesthetics is what you’re after more power to you.

    Sliders are a functional item…

    You do you.

Personally I believe asthetics are equally as important to function (when building my truck) and have a hard time believing any of the bolt on versions are significantly stronger than one another

we are lucky to have a lot of great and credible options, most of which mount to our trucks in identical fashions

    BTW C4 discontinued their 2 piece slider we’ll over a year ago…

    Too many, but not enough....
I haven't seen a design yet that looks beefier and stronger than cali raised. 3 years and absolutely no complaints and touch up with raptor lining looks and works great.

CBI sliders on my CM for ~1 year with no signs of powder coat fading for me on any of my CBI armor. They've taken a few on the chin and saved me a lot of heartbreak.

I agree there's no certifiable way to determine whose sliders are "stronger," but mine have functioned and performed every time. And I personally love the look more than the other options.

I have first hand experience with RCI Sliders and can confirm they hold up to some good abuse. I have a bit of an unpopular opinion about powder coating sliders, but I don't feel it's worth it. If you're going to drag them through rocks, then your expensive powder coat is just going to go to waste after a couple trail runs. Rattle can black paint gets my vote for quick touch ups. Or Steelit if you don't mind spending the money.

As @BiggHertz said lots of great options. I’m running the westcott designs units and they’ve held up great. Rounded a few tight corners that needed to push off rocks and logs and no issues. They also do look good in my opinion

    What @BiggHertz said.

Are you doing top plate or not? I assume, from your user name, that you’re in CO. If you do plan to use top plate it’s something to bring into consideration and may want to go with a wescott option as the snow will go through the tiny slits better than a dimple die hole.

I, personally, love my white knuckles and their wheel to wheel coverage is best in the game. Also love my full diamond plate top (believe they discontinued) as it brings a touch of class to my “obnoxious” truck. I deal with the snow packing in there whenever I go but that isn’t often so not really a problem.

Bang for the buck, Demello hybrids are tough to beat coming in around $750 when they have sales.

I've had CBI sliders on my Crewmax since fall of 2020. I have been pretty happy with them and would recommend them. Very solid and I like the simplicity of how they mount, while still providing strength. The back on end of them, towards the rear tire, does flex a bit though its not enough to cause issues.

They have changed the top plate design on them, though I think that is largely a cosmetic change. I have not had issues with the powder coat on mine, but they did arrive with some minor scratches.

If you haven't already, check out the Slee Slider Steps. I don't think they were available when I got my CBIs, but I would strongly consider them if I were to do it again. I've had a set of Slee's on my 100 series for about 14 years and they are fantastic.
