I just bought a 2024 Tundra Limited. It is going in on Friday for its Leveling Kit and then Saturday for its Wheels and tires.

I am trying to decide on whether I want to get a bed cover or a tool box. I will be hauling stuff so either will work for me. I haven't been able to find a single pic of a 3rd gen with a tool box (low Profile) but I have seen many with bed covers.

Let me know what yall think and any pics would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks ahead of time,

    Mike

That American Work Cover is pretty bad ass, but alot more than I need.

I looked at the swing cases, but I carry more than they will fit. I love the concept, just not big enough.

I can't use a roll up cover because of the location of where I work, things will walk away.

Love the pics. Please keep them coming.

If you run the tonneau cover you can always put bins, tubs, toolbox, Milwaukee Packouts, whatever you want in the bed.

These can then be removed and taken with you to have full bed or to take tools onto jobsite, where a toolbox is a bit more permanent.

    Just a thought.

I like modular capabilities whenever possible since my truck is sometimes for camping, sometimes for surfing, sometimes for home improvement/hauling. Take the surfing crap out, put the camping crap in, and so on.

I used to always run camper shells on my trucks, but I REALLY like my current racks, tonneau, bedrug combo. It was getting more and more awkward/uncomfortable crawling around in the back with a topper on.

The bed rug definitely solves the sliding around issue. I'll have to look into that.

    YES!!

I love how easily things will slide IF I WANT THEM TO but otherwise stay right where I put them.

I keep a short painter's pole with a hook on the end (see pic) in the bed and I can push/pull/slide almost anything anywhere I want to, even fairly heavy stuff like luggage.

When I bought my truck it had a drop-in plastic bedliner and you so much as think about hitting the brakes and everything is up against the cab. Touch the gas pedal and it all slams into the tailgate.

I couldn't get rid of that thing fast enough.

I've got a bed box in my 08 and a tonneau cover on my 24. Hands down the tonneau cover is better. My tool box was great but anytime I needed something from the middle of it I had to climb in the bed. Whenever I went camping I had to throw my pillows and bedding in the cab because if it rained they couldn't be in the bed.
