Ordered the awd last night, wish me luck!

 

Finally got a chance to use Smart Summons today after waiting a year for it to come out. I wish I had a video. My son had breakfast at school for being Student of the Month so both the wife and I drove due to going to different places after. As we were walking outside it started to rain and then I remembered I hadn't tried it yet. So I told my wife I wasn't dealing with this rain and was going to have my car come get me, and she could walk to the Sequoia like a peasant. This guy we didn't know walking next to us kinda looked at me weirdly and I hit the button and my car left the parking spot and my wife about shit her pants. "How much did that cost," she asks. The guy walking next to us puts together there is nobody in my car and that we are together and turns and says "That is kinda creepy....but really cool and sorry you have to walk to your car".Totally worth the extra for EAP.

 

Its a cool function, my wife's Y has it. I used it last week at King Soopers (local grocery store) peoples reactions were hilarious. They were laughing & filming

 

With the sand land unrest, an EV will be much cheaper to drive. Some people see that possible oil price hike and are getting EVs or saving funds.

 

I’m ready to buy. Just waiting for that MY refresh.

 

If I were getting one it'd be a used one. The price discount is significant, they still qualify for a tax credit, some features are turned on to try and sell them because used value is lower, and there's less for a previous owner to have messed up on a Tesla.

So long as it's structurally sound and the interior is in good shape I can't think of anything else to worry about on it. Not like there's oil for the PO to have forgotten to change or gears in a transmission for them to have ground into glitter. With the new body style of the 3, and pending Y, I wouldn't be surprised if the used prices get even better on the old styles.

 

I can certainly vouch for used value.

 

took the MX to the lake this weekend:

1. it cruises. soft and smooth
2. yes, it's about as fast as a MS
3. we keep those back seats folded. it has awesome storage & room for crap.
4. the auto opening doors are quite handy.
5. the falcon doors are...well...a tad showy. I need for the MX to play "Ta-Da" when I get out.

hand washed it Sunday - after mowing.

it is easier to wash a MS. the MX is large.

and rear fog lights are weird.

 

That’s exactly what I mean; I refuse to pay new price for the current one when the refresh is just around the corner. When it drops, I’ll look at used values then.

Not sure whether I’ll go new or used at that point

I won't pay new tesla prices at all. Not when there's so little risk in buying used and such a steep discount.

Depends on how much more awesome the refresh is for me. The new M3 seems like a big step up from the old

 

Oh, don't get me wrong, I like the new 3 much more than the old one. The price difference is just too big. Not like it matters, I'm not in the market in any way, shape, or form. I just always window shop stuff.
