Hey guys! I just received my ambient lighting kit from Rave and I'm wondering what the best way would be to splice into the power wire in the window motor control harness.

I found a video that shows one way to do it, but I'm not exactly sure what he did.

    https://youtu.be/NxxADet56HE?si=o9hhGvVzFMATNazB

Is he adding that pin onto the ambient light harness and essentially jamming it into the same slot as the power wire on the window motor control harness? Then don't tune same for the ground?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, that's what it looks like, instead of splicing the positive and negative into the wiring itself he tapped into the window control harness using Deutsch type pins shoved into the existing pins.

I did this about 6-7 months ago. I watched his video a couple times and with a list of the part #s I headed to my local Toyota parts department. You can get the pins from Amazon. About a week later I started adding these lights to my truck. It was very easy to follow his instructions and everything works as factory.

Did you add the lights into the dash trim and foot wells?

No I did not add the dash light or foot well lights. The foot wells are on the list to happen soon.
