I recently bought a 2020 Tundra 1794 edition and had a lot of rain this past week. I noticed in my rear seat headliner that their was a water stain and it's right below the sharkfin antenna. I checked out the antenna and it looks perfect so I'm a little confused. It's still under warranty so I'm taking it to the dealer tommorow. But I'm curious if anyone has experienced this before and what ever came of it? Also new to the forums so I hope i posted this in the right place. Thanks!

Does the truck have a sun roof? If so, check/clean the drains.

Yes it does have a sunroof so I'll check out if there is anything blocking the drains good idea. Just curious though, wouldn't you expect to see a water streak leading towards the back from the sunroof? I've never had one before so I don't know how the drainage on those work yet

Third break light fixture needs re-sealed. They’ll take care of it for ya. I’m sure they’ve seen it many times. Be sure they get that stain out of the headliner!

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Sorry to see that, but the dealership should take care of you.

Hey everyone just an update on this:

I did end up calling the dealer and they said it was not under my warranty but since I only had the truck for a week they would take care of it. I drove it up there about an hour an half a way. Once I got it up there they said they didn't deal with leaks (this is a Toyota dealership) and sent it to a specialty shop in NC. The shop didn't find any leaks and said they ran water over it for 3 hours.

Got my truck back, water stain and all and didn't have any leaks even in normal rain for a month until this past hurricane and then it came back again in the same spot. I took it to my local Toyota dealer this time instead of the one I bought the truck from. They were able to find the leak coming from the sharkfin antenna within a day.

Long story short I paid $841 to have this fixed out of pocket. That price is the labor, a new sharkfin antenna and cover for the antenna. I'm hoping the dealer I bought it from will return my call and reimburse me but time will tell. I hope this post saves someone the trouble who may be having this same leak.

$841! Aww dang. Did they have to replace the entire antenna? Seems like it would've just needed to be resealed. I haven't had to tamper with my sharkfin but I imagine it's accessible the same way the 3rd brake light is which is thru the rear part of the headliner.

You aren't getting that money from the old dealer. I think your only option would be small claims or just blasting them online with photos and proof of fix from other dealer showing their incompetence. After doing that review, I bet someone reaches out to you about that refund.

This is why I didn't buy a Tundra with a sunroof.....my brothers leaked and took 2-3 attempts from the dealership to fix it.
