I need to get both knees replaced in 2026 (while I'm still on working insurance), that will be one at a time as well.
They say the shoulder replacement is much worse than the knee replacement.
I guess we will see..

Doc said when I have the mobility he wants to see after the left surgery, he will do the right shoulder, which SHOULD be 2 1/2 to 3 months.
Standing up lifting my arms in front of me, I can go as high as parallel to the floor, no higher than that.
I can't even put my hands behind my back.
If I get arrested and cuffed, I'm fucked..

 

Knee replacements are easy. Real easy if you are active and not morbidly obese.

I walked 6 hrs after the swap out. Still love my fake knees.

Yes, fortunately, my daughter is a PT assistant where I get my PT done.
It's actually owned by the shoulder doc.
She helped me with my back surgery rehab and then we went to lunch once a week for 8 weeks..
It will be the same for the shoulders..

One of my wife's attorneys (she works for a law firm) got both knees done a few years ago.
He blew off the rehab (thought he was smarter than his doctor) and had to get them done again 2 years later.
He now walks with a cane...

 

When they did the meniscus Doc told me that replacements are in my future. I just wonder how limiting it will be.

Here I think 80K isn't the minimum. I've got a longtime friend that was ILA (he retired at 50) that made way more than that. But there's a lot of things that he told me that make me anti union, I am pro working man. VA is a right to work state and union membership is not mandatory. If you work the ports you don't have to join the union, but if you don't it won't be pleasant. All of your stuff disappears, the lock on your locker suddenly isn't yours, your lunch has random undesirable stuff on it...
I worked a repair job at a port where we had to bring the ship to the pier and everything was my company's responsibility, except putting the loops of the docking ropes on the bollards. That had to be done by ILA members. 3 guys, 8 hours sitting in the shade for 15 minutes of work. Se la vie.
