Because of the intensive testing process and numerous variations of coffee, alcohol, liquor and sweetening agents, I'm going to have to compartmentalize the entire process.... and acquire a few more ingredients!

Plus, I need the wife available to do the whipped creme and brown sugar (both homemade and yes the whipped cream will contain fresh vanilla bean)

I've got to hit up the liquor store for some Tullamore and some Baileys (I don't have either of these)...

The first step will be finding the proper region, strength and brew of coffee when it's being paired w/whiskey... I will make this determination this week.

The following week is kinda busy for us w/family in town again, so it will be an off week

My birthday is a few weeks out, so I'm thinking about making a full day event out of this process when it's at its final stage and have wife make an Angel Food cake to pair w/the coffee during testing

I typed out that book back in 95 when I thought freaking Papyrus was a cool font. Unfortunately OCR doesn't work well with Papyrus.

Allergies are keeping me away from dove hunting with my grandson today. I'll go years without much trouble, but for whatever reason yesterday and today I'm blown up with it. My son sent a pic from their hike through the field this morning, and his jeans are yellow with pollen. Nobody would have any fun with me sneezing and snorting anyway.

 

I know @Wallygator is in the thick of it being local to Asheville. Crazy devastation. Praying he and his family are good.

So sad. Asheville is one of my favorite cities. We spend time up in that area every year.

My daughter’s boyfriend’s parents live just outside Asheville. She was just down there to visit them Labor Day weekend. She sent this from them this morning.

 

River arts district is totally wiped out same with Biltmore village. There are many towns west of there that have been completely wiped off the map.

I'm good. Thanks for checking. We got a lot of rain in Knoxville but nothing like the devastation they received in the mountains. Entire towns were washed away. Countless bridges, roads, and parts of both I40 and I26 are destroyed. I just read they are sending 20 trucks of water and 1 million MRE's to Asheville. One of the TVA dams near us is releasing 450,000 gallons per second.
