So Canyon used to be completely dry. The beer/liquor stores were just outside of town. It's since changed and they can sell beer/wine in town, but no liquor. You can get liquor in town in Amarillo, but only at the liquor stores. It was really weird when me and Jon went to the grocery store in Sedona and saw liquor.

 

It's not bad, and it keeps booze cheap. A 30 at the convenience store is like $38. At the liquor store it's $31. At wallyworld it's $28.

 

Even the places that don't have oppressive liquor laws, you still have to go to a liquor store to buy liquor, outside of a bar. But in most areas, stores sell beer, wine and malt liquor. My town only started selling beer in stores in the last 30 years or so and wine and malt liquor as well in the last 20 or so years. Liquor at bars also in the last 20 or so years. My town used to be completely dry when my parents moved here.

 

Austin is pretty liberal with there liquor, you can find most anything unless there is a distributor issue. Only thing I really like about Austin as far as liberalism goes. Strangely, miss the way CA did things. Liquor at grocery stores until 3AM. That, and burritos, awww man

That's what happens when there's no separation of church and state. That's all I'm going to say about it.

 

If I go we are the only ones rolling solo so just accommodate to self sufficient for the journey to and back home and the fact that you’re on your own with the 5 lug bolt pattern. SHTF I can get you a spare with a 37 on it, but it’ll be a 10 hour round trip.

Still unsure, but prepping as if I’m going. Today I secured a full size spare and some cheap LBJ just in case. Already have the fire extinguisher & radio.

I'm gonna say 6 of us. Should be fine to just show up. My brand new tent showed up the other day, and I have a canopy as well.

I will say, when I drove to Parker it was 13 hours straight. 13ish hours would land you in ABQ then another 3 to Amarillo the next day. I think Casey and Jon are getting here on the 17th in the morning. Jake is already here and my FJ buddy will probably work that day. Dave is still a toss up so we'll see what he decides.
