Hot and dry. Me and some of the TX boys are about to take a trip to Merus offroad adventure park 3rd weekend of October. Should be fun. Like herding cats I imagine.

Now all the dust of the world has easy pass right to my sinuses and I get allergies almost every day. Funny thing is, my lung collapsed and while I was in the hospital they figured out I have Marfan syndrome. Apparently the issue with my nose and many other things is part of this disorder.
What happened to your camper project?

Hot and dry sounds better than hot with 100% humidity, it gets difficult to breathe and it feels like your walking around with a hot damp blanket wrapped around your head. I miss ATV adventures, I may have to plan something in the coming months.

Bradford Cox from Deerhunter suffers as well, most notable case I know, super pronounced physical features. Do you have really pronounced pectus excavatum (chest divot)?

A lot of people thought I had it when I was younger because I was tall, lanky, long neck, pronounced adam's apple, got called "Ichabod" a lot.

You just described 9 out of 12 months of my childhood.
Just make sure you have no cedar allergies. I hear it’s bad in Texas.

I didn't know there was such a thing as cedar allergies. Wifey says, if she leaves Florida it will be to another country, not another state. Well if heels up Harris wins, we may be heading to Belize.
I've never heard of it before. Wifey did a lot of research and found so many different physical anomalies attributed to Marfan and I happen to have quite a few, I don't understand how the Dr's have never figured it out. I swear they just Google your symptoms and go with the top result.

Genetic test would rule it out.

I know I don't have it, though I have half the symptoms. But when we had to have a barrage of tests done while trying to kickstart the family with limited success, that's not one of the things that showed up.

From one tropical environment to another? Haha

I’d be more inclined myself to retire in Medeira, a European island off Portugal with low cost of living and year round perfect weather. Supposedly a hot spot for expats.

I just may look into that, you do get a lot for your money in Belize though and no income tax, low property tax and it's a bit easier to get citizenship. 50 acres and a mule may be my end game

My sister loved traveling down there and stayed on some hippy farms for a few months, she brought back fresh locally harvested cinnamon; best flavor I’ve ever had!!!

she also brought home magical chocolate that was never found?

magically the dog had to go to the vet one day………..

I will admit you’re only a hour or less flight from the best medical care (US) in case you need a major operation or procedure.

I'm not sure what property value and taxes are by you but it's out of control down here. $350k down by me is not getting you much, I'm seriously considering this. Our only hold up at the moment is my health and we still have a few things we need to take care of at our house to max out it's value.

$350k around here gets you a condo. Need to move to upstate NH in the middle of nowhere to buy yourself a house for that price. $350k in my neck of the woods will get you a major remodel effort that was banned by the health inspector for occupation.
