I made this clear lid for my own Stillen CAI but then got bored and decided to make a couple more so just lookin to see if anybody might be interested in buying this one that I posted a few days ago.

It has a few minor scratches near a couple of the holes but otherwise as you can see, mounts up just fine.

    It's .220in thick plexiglass
    20240923_093624.jpg 20240923_093639.jpg 20240925_172848.jpg

Gotta put a price on it so let's go with $60

Gauging to see if anybody local in So Cal might want first dibs but maybe open to ship it if anybody outside So Cal really wants it.

I've got it currently off my truck and taped up with masking tape. Hardware not included.

Like I said I made a couple from just a bit of trial and error so I do have another one available.

Alright, this is pretty badass… is it going to fit in a large flat rate box?

If it does, I may call dibs and put this on when I reinstall the bolts.

I'll find out this weekend the best way I can get it shipped:thumbsup:

I figure there's probably not many Stillen owners here in Cali.

Hahaha probably due to those CARB laws. Luckily I only go back to the Bay Area to vacation now and visit my folks.

I’m down though, I think it’ll be better to have the clear plexi than the black cover.

It’d be even better if @Tundra234 can make a Stillen sticker for me to slap onto the cover

Ooo yeah it'll look real nice dressed up with a decal or two. I ordered a set of red aluminum bolts for mine so just waiting for that to arrive.

Took measurements and the lid is roughly 12" x 14" so I'm thinking a medium size pizza box should be just fine(after I eat the pizza) I'll figure out the most affordable way to ship it. I wanna make sure there's some padding in there so it doesn't break. It's coming from 92505 so I'm guesstimating approximately $15 or $20ish to Connecticut :monocle:

Also here's a peek at the other one I made. The somewhat difficult part is drilling out the holes so they're not too close to the edge of the plexiglass so the last two I've made hang over the edge slightly which IMO is a little better and allows for using larger fender washers which kinda look better too.
    20240926_064813.jpg
This one here fits flush on the bottom and sides but the top hangs over. You can see with these size washers, they hang over slightly.
The original plastic wrapping is still on this one(under the tape) so there shouldn't be any scratches at all.

You think I’d be able to use rubber washers in place of those fender washers for the taped up one?

Oh yeah definitely want to use rubber washers and more importantly not overtighten. I put those metal washers on there as a mock up. I'm actually stacking rubber and metal fender washers. Just gotta get slightly longer bolts, but those are on order.

This is how I'll have mine setup...

Got the two of them boxed up and fit in a medium flat rate. Shoot me a PM if you're still interested in the one from Post #1. @pvn.beluga claimed the one from Post #5

I was thinking of a rubber seal too! Probably something automotive with 3M? You ever come up from Willimantic? I’m in Wolcott.

What size bolts did you use for the lid? I remembered you mentioning it somewhere.

    Just an update:

I was able to get a hold of a few sheets of .5" thick plexiglass for a good deal which may be a bit overkill for the lid but I wanted to give it a shot anyway. Here's the result of what that looks like...
    20240927_162001.jpg
    20240927_161727.jpg
While it does mount up on the box just fine, there are issues with the hood closing which brings me to an important FYI for anybody switching over to the hex head bolts in combo with the first lids I posted that are on the way to @pvn.beluga and @littlebus01 ... Be aware that the hex head closest to the passenger headlight may scratch the underside of your hood as shown here...
    20240927_172656.jpg

So you may want to go back to using the bolts that came with the Stillen if you did switch em out.

So that being said, I had a couple extra trial and error pieces that I was able to make work that fits flush to the box vs. having overhang which I prefer. Both are .220 inch and have been tested to fit.

Picture of actual lid(s) that are ready to ship...
    20240927_171514.jpg
    20240927_174919.jpg
    Hardware is not included.

I do have 2 of the .5" thick lids available but as mentioned, there are issues with the hood closing.

    @Sandy Tundra. DM sent
@JrJrOffroad send me a DM if still interested

    Thank you

I remembered you mentioned that before. My local Lowe's didn't have any pieces in stock. I just wanted to see what that looked like. It is definitely pricey :( but I bet it would look real nice.

Which cat shields do you have? I have the RCI trans skid with the cat shields but I'm thinking of eventually getting Talons full skid kit.
