Years ago, my wife didn't let the door open all the way before she backed out.
That was about $800 to have some panels replaced.. :frusty:

I have an on-going joke with the wife. Anytime I see someone do something stupid (and I mean stupid) I say “WD!!” (Woman driver) and am almost always correct. Anytime she says “MD!!” (Male driver) I tell her he’s prob trans so it doesn’t count

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

Recently my wife went to pull out of the garage. The door was fully open, but unfortunately so was the hatchback of her Venza. No damage to the garage (solid block construction) but a couple of nice creases on the hatch.

My wife just now “that’s always my fear. I fear that I’m going to back out with the door not fully open”

-WTF?! Better get over that fear driving my car!

I saw my aerator on my sewage sump was alarming last night after cutting grass. Went out this morning and saw the air hose just came off the nipple. Told the wife it was much more complicated than that of course:thumbsup:

The honey do list is long this weekend. I'll report back what I actually do since it's misting and raining off and on all day.

Knocked out the old fence, built a new one further back. We'll finally be able to use this side of the house. Gonna put down gravel and park our tent trailer in there.

Getting the garage organized is a passion project of mine. It gets closer every weekend.

Just finished up the rain water barrel stand. The wife uses the rain water in her garden.

    Nice!
Your a brave man for sure.
I know the pain, the garage holds all of the importance of just about any and all projects but it's usually semi unorganized.

Ya basically have to pull everything out and start at one good focal point and let it migrate from there, definitely a multi day project but when done it's soooo rewarding!

Keeping up with the slow progress. Got shelves in but they were flimsy so built some supports. Caulked filled sanded painted. It's very green!

Went faster today. Mounted the cabinet to the wall and slapped on the lid. Got the last few pieces of trim installed with filler and caulk drying. Only a couple coats of trim paint and one sign to hang away from being done. Also realized that we had a mini fridge that would fit already. Wife isn't crazy about my decor but I think this thing is about 20 years old so I'm assuming it won't last forever?

Any reason for leaving one piece of the perimeter trim green? :boink: j/k
Looks good! I wish I had room to build something like that.

lol in my mind - putting that one piece of trim between the shelves up as soon as I could saved me from having to do it later! That countertop is TIGHT in there so none of the other trim could be installed before the top went in. I even had to completely remove the light switch on the left wall to set the counter top in.

Thanks! Make room! I used to build drawers and figure out neat ways to store and hide gear in our overland builds, now it's transferred to making our builder grade home more functional.

Edit. Snagged a proper beverage fridge for higher wife happiness level. I think it needs a riser/kick plate for aesthetics though so project continues.

Finally, I gave in and called an electrician to hotwire the hot tub and add a 30 amp breaker for the travel trailer.

I'm thinking you might want to wait till after it passes... But that's just me...

I'm hoping it's not a very strong one and that it slides to the west...

I hope the same, especially since I am still cleaning up from the last one and I have fam back in 727.
That said, the last one damaged one of my filters so I am going to try to get some protection above them before this one hits.

    That is the thought anyway.

Welp, it is official... I am absolutely exhausted...

    1. Built the roof frame for the future pump house to protect the system from falling debris and then monthly serviced it.

    upload_2024-9-24_20-48-33.png

    2. Built a generator hut in case we lose power and I need to set this up. I still havent gotten the plumbing ran for the new tank to where the generator will sit, but this will get us through the next storm.

    upload_2024-9-24_20-50-16.png

    upload_2024-9-24_20-50-27.png

    3. Tested the generator to make sure it was on the up and up.

    upload_2024-9-24_20-50-54.png

    4. Then I filled all the tanks on my camper to weigh her down... hoping it is all for nothing, but we will see. If we need to bail, I can hook up and dump the takes in just a couple of minutes.

Time for my fake cold ones and to do some stretching before bed...
