Beer day. I was sitting out front. A guy ran past on the sidewalk, turned quickly and started to run up my steps. I stood up and blocked his ass. He went back down and got tackled by 3 DPD Leo's! WTF! They caught a 2nd perp that ran down the sidewalk. All Hell broke loose. 10 DPD rides in all. Stolen Mitsubishi suv.

First time, the screen just turned purple then went dead. Not sure what I did, though I was using it as a flashlight outside when it was like -40.

This time, it looks like it must have fallen screen down on a piece of gravel or something. I have a chip right in the middle.

I'm dead serious when I say you cannot formulate a statement like that until you've been to TX and had brisket. Even if it's not a religious experience as it was for me, you will find your ass glued to a chair held down by a belly full of brisket, the meat sweats in full effect and a smile on your face like you're getting the best BJ in the world.

Funny tangent story...about 15 years ago the wife was at home with the kids and sent me a text that said "Huh, some guy just sprinted thru the cul-de-sac and down into the greenbelt. Then I saw a PD car come flying in, scream the turn and head back out". My response was "Lock the doors and get the Glock".

About ten minutes later my MinL came over. She's definitely not 2A friendly. Wife met her at the door with the Glock and if I remember correctly the 32rd mag sticking out. MinL got all flustered as my wife yanked her into the house.

The perp was a level 3 sex offender that didn't register as directed with his PO. My local PD staked out his mother's house and when they tried to arrest him the chase was on. Perp was caught and while the MinL is not in the 2A camp, she's never "challenged" the decisions of my house. Oh, and she gets Black Rifle coffee deliveries, so I think she's at least warming...
