Well, I got tired of those JBL speakers and decided to replace them. I bought some focal component set speakers. When i was replacing the rear door, the speaker wouldn't work unless i had the factory tweeter plugged in. Of course there is this white plug thing on the back of it. Is there someway to by pass that tweeter so i can use the one that came with the component set?

did you match up the ohm ratings? Might be throwing off the amp if its not seeing the right ohms and it goes into protect?

I have 4 ohm speakers. What are they supposed to be?

no idea...take a DMM to them and measure. Resistance will change as the cone moves, but the "resting" resistance will be stable.

Why are you putting components in the rear in the first place would be my question.

The signal passes thru the tweeter before it gets to the other speaker.
A odd setup, but that's the way it is.

You could run a jumper into pins 2 and 4 of the tweeter plug to connect to your Focals.

Or just use positaps into the red and white wires before that tweeter connector to run your Focals.
Red is positive, white is negative.
No need to cut any OEM wiring.

    He makes a good point.
Your Focals may or may not be as loud as your stock speakers.
Toyota uses low ohm speakers to make their low-wattage amps sound 'better'.

The ohms of the stock speakers should be on them somewhere..
    From my 2014.
