This is looks amazing. Pretty much exactly what I'm trying to do with my new 1794. How did you do the chrome delete on the door handles? Did you have to do a bodymount chop to fit the 35s?

Can you do the chrome running down the door and swap the badges from platinum to 1794 to fully dechrome ?

looks to be like my platinum just with a different insert

The handles are snap-on overlays from chromestoppers.com. The 35s fit with no trimming needed.

I'm going with dobinsons ims. Same shocks as mrr without the external. Not as costly as some others and get quite a high end off road setup that will ride amazing on road as well

I ended up going with Dobinson MRR. It is amazing!!! A little bit of a splurge but so worth it.

Looks amazing! This is exactly what I'm doing. Going to post pictures of it once done. How did you chrome delete the door swoosh chrome accents?

    List of stuff:
    Oem mirror caps and handles
Oem gloss black window trim- expensive but so worth it
Oem platinum door trim- removed the platinum and 1794 badges and plastdipped them, pulled the plastic dip off the bronze 1794, glued them into platinum badges then retapped everything with VHB tape
Color x labs vinyl wrap stash
Plasti dipped the rear bumper panels- had a c4 rear bumper that I never installed before selling the truck

That looks great! those are the 4runner wheels?

Anyone have a pic of a platinum or 1794 with Tundra Pro wheels?

Almost done modifying my 1794! Super excited to show all of you. My new wheel + tire combo has too much tire poke. Really don't like any poke on trucks. Thoughts on the TRD Pro flares? I'm back and forth on weather i like the tech camo...

I totally agree. But I do like the flares. I've been trying to find a way to get the TRD flares and get rid of the textured camo...

Working on my 1794 PROser and added all the digital camo. It’s so subtle in person. Though, I frequently get compliments on it from randos. I believe my silver paint helps; at certain angles, or when the sun hits it just right, there are accents that look silver. Also, the marker lights and 1” extra poke just make the truck look more aggressive.

if they ever make the Tundra Trailhunter, for a starting price of $100k. That prototype had the bigger flares without the camo

I don’t know why folks don’t just sand them down. The camo isn’t more than a mm deep. Bet you could knock it down with 80->120 grit in no time.

@chachycharlie I have the Lunar Rock 1794, 2024 and would love to do a chrome delete. Did you use any other resource outside of Chromestoppers? If you wouldn't mind sending info my way, that would be awesome. Love the look!

If you want to avoid overlays, Toyota parts will be your best bet. Or, you can go paintedoemparts.com for the parts that don’t come painted from Toyota, such as the “mustache.”

Are overlays best avoided? I know the price difference for OEM can be steep.

I have window and handle overlays and they fool my eyes. Plenty of people seem to love the overlays by @EC1 (I just ordered a mustache from them based on reviews and their remarkable customer service).

Our products are made with tools we make here in our shop and then those tools get hand-refined for accuracy to the form and contours of the truck. I can't speak to ALL overlays, but the stuff we make tested and re-tested before we send it out.
in fact, we have to delay the tailgate applique due to some slight installation issues experienced by our beta testers. (It's not impossible, but it was a little frustrating)

We aim for a PERFECT fit that is as indistinguishable from OEM as possible. We want you to be able have a great looking truck without having to overpay for OEM products. And we make them right here in the USA!

Nice! I literally just got done wiring them up during my lunch break. Looked again and stand by what I said. I wouldn't use a sander though, so you'd definitely break a sweat doing it to all four! That being said, I have to wonder if the people who don't like them have ever seen them in person. It really is subtle and doesn't look like you're a hunter or military, posing or otherwise.

I'd do a black mustache instead of color match. It's what I did and I love the larger grill area look.

Did you have to get sensors recalibrated for the lift? Seems anything up to 3" shouldn't be a huge deal, but also know those sensors are tricky...

Are the overlays removable/reversible? I dislike the chrome on my 1794, but curious if these can be removed in the distant future if need be.

Hard for me to tell, but did you do matte or gloss black from Chromestoppers? What about the tailgate handle? Did you also do the fenders? Mine are gray

For sure removable, but you’ll likely need a heat gun and force.

Like Sawyer said, they are removable. Heat gun, force, isopropyl alcohol... I'd wear gloves in case they snap. They're designed to be "permanent" but if you're trying to sell, you can definitely remove them.
