What makes you happy?

It seems that Bandcamp has fixed their media player so I can actually pause and restart music correctly.

 

I love it when I pop into one of the new threads where somebody is asking a question and even, though it's been answered a million times, they get good info and some help. Makes me like this place.

















and it makes me happy that I don't have to answer it.

 

Financial freedom, paid off vehicles and toys, retirement 12 years ago at age 42 and a wife and two dogs I can't get enough of and the freedom to do what I want when I want. Pure bliss!

 

That's awesome! Happy for you, and kicking my own ass for not being smarter in my youth.

 

Became self employed in my early 20s and focused on working for the super wealthy. A lot of them became regulars of mine and eventually most of them became good friends. A lot of my customers were even at my wedding. I learned a lot from them over the years and it helped me to be financially wise and be an investing guru. The one mantra they all seemed to share was make your money work for you, no matter how little or how much you have at the time, so later in life you won't have to. Words to live by

Yeah, I've heard the phrase "make your money work for you" but never been able to figure out how to make it do it. I'm just a blue collar dope working for a paycheck.

 

If you can take your skill set and find a way to work for yourself with those skills, that will be your first step to financial freedom.

 

This camera position makes me uncomfortable.

 

Well that lady and her dogs were uncomfortable too.

 

I'm happy today because when I went in for rotator cuff surgery yesterday, they found no problems with my rotator cuff or labrum, just some really bad bone spurs. I still have some pain from the surgery but the recovery is going to be a lot faster and less painful then rotator cuff repair.

 

That's awesome! Don't tell your boss. Take a few extra days.

 

I'm working from home for a couple of weeks anyway. Fortunately I have a great boss who gives me a lot of flexibility.

Happy and thankful for The LIFE I have been dealt..

The highs and the lows are easily handled when you are "spoiled" by 47 years (40 of those married too ) with the same woman..

 

I won't write anything sophisticated or sweet here. The only thing that made todays morning better was a great night with my wife...finally.

Also Wife retired last year makes me happy. Having our security cam label the 8 point buck in the back yard as a Pet is pretty neat.

 

Thanksgiving was a hit. 28 family members showed up.


I know, I made a mess on the carport but I have Dawn and not scared to use it.

 

Riding my bike in the hills has brought me joy for the past 20+ years

 

Rural living has it's advantages. I'm in a small college town with no redlights. Not far from anywhere if you don't mind driving a little. One of the problems with small electrical coops is from time to time they will turn off power for maintenance or upgrades.

So at 11pm tonight we go dark for 4 hours. I'll walk out the front yard for nearly zero light pollution and see the Milkyway for the first time in a long time.

 

Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
Brown paper packages tied up with strings...

 

These are a few of my favorite things.

Power restored after 4 days in Helene aftermath.
Yeah I got damage here but not enough to rant about based on what others in WNC has. My damage is cosmetic in the long run.
