I “ate” a Mourning Dove last week. Luckily i had my visor down on my motorcycle helmet. I’m pretty sure it survived since it was just a glancing blow at 45mph.

I haven't tried a lot of game, but my boss said something about aoudad (can't remember good or bad) and that they love nilgai. I've never really been hunting either besides blasting some hogs.

On the highway doing 70 mph, they (small birds in general) explode into a ball of feathers. Don’t ask me how I know.

Was the rubber part of the bushing still in there, or just the steel center piece?

I had that same damage in my top hat but it was a factory setup. Must've been something similar.

That was since new; street use only and some mild dirt roads. I still have a strong suspicion the Toyota tech that changed out my shocks 150k miles ago was responsible in some way. No way it would do that since new.

There must have been a hellasious clanking when you hit bumps? Never tightened the shock bolt/enough?

Nope. Zero indication. Strangely as you can see it was rusted, so it didn’t continually wear. Just at a certain time in the past and the only person to take it off since new was Toyota service department to change out my shocks at 99k miles.

I want one of those doorbell cameras that greet you loud af. But i want it mounted so i can sit in my truck & watch people shit their britches when they walk in front of me. Neighbor has one & it gets most of the dog walkers, most of the time.

There's a couple cameras around my neighborhood that tell you you're being recorded. I always flip em off.
They're like "hi you're being recorded"

Am I crazy for loving long road trips/drives?

Like, I was talking to some friends today about visiting my girlfriend this weekend. It's a bit over 900 miles round trip, 6 hours there and 6 back. No biggie. I absolutely love the drive, and they think I'm crazy for it.

I could do 8+ hours in the truck no problem at all. In my LS430 I did 11 hours at once with only a stop for gas. Felt fantastic. Felt like I could do double that. I really, really, really love driving. I can throw on some music, zone out, and absolutely eat up miles. I wouldn't hesitate to drive clear across the country if I needed to. I drove from Boulder, CO to Chicago once. 14 hours, only stops were for gas. Felt great. Of course, those were all in comfortable vehicles. I wouldn't do more than an hour or so in my Fiat. But still, I never thought that being able to do 6+ hours without stopping was out of the ordinary.

    Am I crazy?

I love me a good 4 hour drive. The drive from LA to Vegas is one of my favorites. Some ppl hate it. It depends on the times and traffic

I know lots of Texans that don't mind driving 5+ hrs. Hell it's like 12hrs from Houston to Amarillo. Most I've done in a day was 15hrs Flagstaff, AZ to Kerrville, TX.

Seeing your loved ones is a big motivation.
