Have they started putting hand warmers on the tailgate on Dodge's yet so your hands will stay warm pushing it.:poking:

You are kidding, right? Have you tried another dealership.

If this really is your reason for trading, just do it. Let us know how that works out. Never mind. Don't let us know how that works out.

I can attest to the shitty electrical systems on these vans. Back when I was still living in Hawaii, i serviced vehicles for friends and family. One of them had a taxi service and even though I told him it was a bad idea, he bought Chrysler minivans because they had the latest and greatest tech at the time. From engine and transmission issues to electrical and AC problems (which really sucks in the tropics), they ended up being a reliability nightmare. By far though, the sliding doors were the most common issue. The problem was the wiring harness to the door itself.

    EA37BA8F-A8D5-41F7-AD96-EE61BDE5C40F.jpg

While they used a nice flexible wire track to protect the harness, the wires themselves were cheap and brittle.

As you can imagine, after so many flex cycles, the brittle wires would start to crack. At first, this would cause the issues to pop up intermittently as the wires start to fail, but eventually the doors would stop working at all. If multiple wires developed cracks in the insulation, you could run into an issue where water could cause a short between them, and if it’s the right wires, the door can start to open and close on its own. Dealers will just replace the wiring harness to the door, but the replacement parts used the same shitty wiring so issues with the door would always return.

Eventually, he got tired of replacing them every so often and I ended up completely redoing the harnesses with more flexible wire. He never had an issue with the doors after that.

Just based on that alone, I would not buy a Fiat/Chrysler product no matter how much cheaper they are. Electrical problems are the biggest PITA to track down.

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever buy a Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep product. You WILL be disappointed. That's all I've got to say about that.

Funny to me that everyone is seeking more bells and whistles.............One of the biggest determining factors in my purchase of a Pro was that is had less trinkets that could malfunction. But I also have less than 10 apps on my IPhone.............Strong, Durable, Dependable, Resale! those were the options I looked for.............

Just remember you get what you pay for. It may be cheaper but you will pay a lot more in the end. Dodge is the American version of a Hyundai, a cheap piece of crap.

I was behind a white Rebel today. It was actually a nice looking truck from the side and rear. Cannot say the same for the front
