What is the last build date?

For the engine main bearing? MY build date is 12-23-2023 but is is a model 24.

 

According to the internet the block part number was revised Jan 2024 and the main bearing part number was changed April 2024. As for revised cleaning procedures they were implemented Feb 2023.

 

So I should be good? But my neighbor with a late 2024 build date Sequia had the motor fail Tuesday.

 

There could be many reasons why it failed. Did they confirm it was caused by the bearing? If it was more than likely he’ll get a short block replacement.

 

I dont know he is in SC right now for his daughter's socker. I will ask him next week and let you know.

 

Sequioas are not included in the recall, only the Lexus LX and Toyota Tundra were identified as engines with the debris in the engine.
