I've been watching YouTube reviews but haven't seen any members post a review. It definitely seems like an improvement over the KO2. I'll either go with those or Wildpeaks next.

Not to shit on the Nirvana Unplugged cover - which was much more compelling, as live music tends to be - nor am I trying to dig excessively on the grunge front, but Mark (RIP) of Screaming Trees fame did an respectably good cover of that classic, and I think it may've been the inspiration for Cobain.

Funny enough, I believe in the Unplugged session, Cobain actually mentions trying to get Geffen to buy a guitar from the Leadbelly estate for some astronomical amount of money. That Unplugged album was the best of all the Unplugged sessions, and every cover they did (esp. the Meat Puppets covers) were fucking phenomenal.

I was looking at 275/70/17 today and thinking about my next tire. I was on the Toyo open country wagon, but I’ve been keeping an eye out for them and honestly I don’t love how they look mounted. I like the Wildpeaks and KO2/3 more. I’m trying to be reasonable about it and get an all terrain that’ll do well on road. I don’t hate the Kuhmo at52s either. I’ve heard some good things about the rubitrek too, but it doesn’t come in that size from what I’ve seen.

Honestly, my Mickeys look mean as shit, and after doing the Wildpeak AT3W I'm shocked at how much more balanced (noise-wise) the Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP are in comparison to the AT3W.

I would suggest you bail on the AT3W if they're in your list. Granted, I went larger with 285 and lighter with C-rating on the AT3W. The Legend EXP at 275 and E-rating are actually a better overall tire for me.

I suspect the AT3W are going to be really close to what the KO2/KO3 will offer in the long run. I had read so many great things about the Mickey Baja Boss (which I think isn't available in 275/70r17) and the Legend EXP (which is available in 275/70r17) that I think the Mickeys were a lucky accident.

My shit part is, I'm 70/30 city to hwy right now. So while I love that 30% where I'm on the highway and the AT3W are buttery smooth, the 70% I'm in the city on surface streets in the 10-40mph range, and the rubbing factor from being slightly larger, I can't justify keeping the damn things.

There are others on here like @BluegrapeVr6 who are running Mickeys and will probably have positive feedback for you too.

EDIT: I'm not upset though. I had minimal buy-in on the AT3W so I think dropping $200-250 net on the AT3W just to have a sanity-check/real-world comparison was worth every penny. I can get my money back out of them.

hard to rank them 1-2. Both epically good. Something about the mood on the Alice and chains set though….

I prefer some of their unplugged songs over their original recordings. Bands that perform just as good live, if not better, are a dying breed.

I could imagine how offensive that would be if a Chinese person actually worked there being their national animal. But they don’t, so it isn’t.

I hadn’t even really considered the mickeys. I’m thinking 7/5 on 6112s, so I’m a little concerned the 32.5 would be pushing it rub wise. I guess I could go 265/70/17, since the mickeys run big. They’re almost a true 32.

I’m trying to avoid being the idiot who screwed us his daily modding it too much.

Both great albums IMO… and Korn has to be one of the worst of the unplugged sessions I ever heard.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
Just yesterday my co-worker and I rocked out to one of Kurt's songs, and I made the comment "Too bad he had to flame out so soon"

No pics yesterday, but swapped out passenger side view mirror assembly on virus. Also changed window regulator on drivers side front door.

Can't believe I paid Bruce $100 a few years ago to change one for me (window regulator)

Easy as pie, it was so easy I didn't even need to hit up YTU for instructions

You pay the $100 for them to take the door panel off and not break shit and/or replace every clip you break pulling it off lol

at least that's how I justified it in my head when I worked in my dad's shop. Lol

I don't know how much off roading you do, but friendly reminder that those k02's are absolutely useless in the Texas mud/clay if you find yourself in it. Can't really go wrong with Toyo and nitto and I've never had a set let me down, but I might try falkens next. or whatever is on sale haha

I'd argue ATs in general are useless in mud.
They do good enough on muddy trails, but definitely are limiting, and are useless in a bog (which is a place I will no longer be driving thru).

I strongly suggesting 3k mile rotations on MT's. They're the most unforgiving things if you ever lose your alignment or when they start cupping. That being said I loved my Yokohama Geolandar MT's. Felt really light, lasted forever, grip for days.

Funny how on motorcycles, folks want clutchless shifting, and in cars, folks want to clutch. I very much enjoyed my manual cars and trucks for the first 10 years I was driving. I would still enjoy one sometimes, but don’t want it on the daily. In a Supra? Manual for sure.
