My boss and a few other Jeep guys from work are going Oct 5th so I'll recon then. That gives me 2 weekends to do my AAL and raise the coils. And I work both of those Fridays. And it's going to rain this weekend. Figures.

Depends on what day you come. I'm thinking we go to the park Fri/Sat, so if we wanted to meet up Thursday night we could hang out at my house or at Jakes. Camp in the park Friday, Saturday, or Fri/Sat, or neither. I'm good either way. I wouldn't mind at least one night under the stars. Oct nights here can drop into the 40s, but I bet it's in the low 50s. Good morning hoodie weather. Probably about like T2S in Sedona.

I got another guy I work with with an FJ planning to come as well, so I'd call it 7 for sure, 3 possible. I'll call Merus and see if we need reservations for 10 rigs.

 

I'm betting we can run a black or 2. We can watch @SAGE63 run some double blacks.

I was planning on taking off Oct 16-20 and showing up Wednesday night. Maybe I'll just drive to the cabin or bug @Sirfive Wednesday, then show up in Amarillo Thursday afternoon.

I've never gone that way before. I've considered it in the past. But I'd likely be headed closer to you, just west of San Antonio, then north. That way I can meet up with Casey and/or take a power nap at my cabin. Since I'll be headed that way right after working a night shift. I figure if we get into town Thursday we'll have time to do any last minute truck fixes and take in the sights of Amarillo. I wouldn't mind seeing the Cadillac ranch and Big Texan.

 

Plus we need to take a ride in the 4 door cobra.

 

I'm planning on getting my AAL and coils done next weekend, with boys help. If not, I can wait on y'all till Thursday. Maybe re-bleed my brakes again before we go.

You don't need them. I did hell's revenge without them on stock gears. Set yourself up for the rear axle on obstacles and left foot brake. Slight pressure and drive gently through the brakes similarly to driving a manual.
