Is there any way that voids my warranty? Thanks. DIMG_0399.jpg
Gotta love the depth of Supersonic Red!

Why would it void your warranty?

What areas do you need to apply by brush vs using a spray?

You can buy a one gallon can. I brush that on the big stuff I can get to. I use three cans to spray the rest. Worked great on my 2008. Underneath looked like new still when I sold it.
    Peace. D

Only bad side to that stuff is if anything made of rubber down there wont like it too much.
    It can shorten its lifespan.

Aside from that, you keep up with that stuff each year and the frame will look like new for some time.

    There is that.

Mechanics in the rust belt would rather deal with fluid film than broken rusty bolts but hopefully third gen Tundras aren't to that point yet.

I sprayed my truck with the black a few weeks back. Had to do a bunch of wiring last week and I couldn't even get underneath without getting covered. Don't wear clothes that you care about when you do it. Just applying it on the outside with a brush is nice but the inside needs it just as well, especially if you're in the rust belt. Took my truck to the car wash a few days after applying it and the areas the undercarriage sprayers hit washed away the fluid film.

You're better off getting a wax based frame coating in my option, the fluid film doesn't last and you don't get anywhere near the coverage. The coating I have on mine was the full frame and inside the body panels and then they also put rust inhibitor inside the frame and panels. it was $1600 but you only have to do it once.

I did use brush on fluid film on all the rest of the bolt heads I have access to.

I am in Canada and just had a look at a truck a guy had sprayed with HoneySeal.
That is very impressive stuff, I’d start there if I had your truck. That colour is
    Deep!

I can’t decide if I want to spray mine or not. In NE rust belt. Couple hundred bucks, not a big deal, but it’s going to spray off in the car wash then ???

It won’t spray off. It’ll last for 14 months or so.

I drove from Winnipeg to Edmonton to have my truck honey sealed. Hands down the best rust proofing option out there.

I did inside door panels, frame inside and out, as well as the wheel wells were taken off. (Dirt/dust WILL accumulate here).

the big deal with honey seal is the prep. Everything gets, dry ice blasted down to pretty much “just rolled off the assembly line clean”.

wether you go with wax, or an oil spray it will only be as good as the surface prep.

and wax lasts way longer than oil which should be done 1/2 times a year.

my wife and daughters cars get krown/rustchek every year.

I use the Amsoil also, about $100 bucks a case. Just did a builder 2021 Tacoma I bought for my son.

Go Rhino running boards. Woolwax rust proofing.
I just sprayed my 2020 Tundra with Woolwax. It's basically the same as fluid film but thicker and longer lasting. Fluid film would be better suited for inaccessible areas like rocker panels, doors and fenders because it's thinner, it will migrate to all the creveses better in my opinion.
Any undercoating will have to be touched up once in a while. I plan to touch mine up every year. The good thing about fluid film and Woolwax is that it doesn't dry, crack or peel.

I recently used this product as an alternative to Fluid Film.
You use a spray gun and away you go. Supposedly safe on rubber.

Anyone who have not perform fluid film yet and live in rust belt. Is under carriage still hold up O.K.?

I don't want to do fluid film on my Tundra. It sucks on my Tacoma with air compressed air spray gun and rattle spray can method ( Cheapest opinion with 5 gal of fluid film annually) and messy. Unpleasant odor. Grease everywhere. Leave messy in my driveway or garage floor too.
I'm considering to do ceramic coating the under carriage. Got quote 1800 for it but supposed last 10+ years. I found there actually rust inhibitor snow foam that can just spray with snow foam on undercarriage then rinse off as show in link below. Even there is spray on too without need to rinse off. No grease film bull craps. Not sure if I should go with rust inhibitor snow foam/spray on or stay with fluid film.
