I was super disappointed with how the game ended.. buuuut. Murray looks good. Hoping the three home games in a row are better. Gotta keep a little faith. Upside is they covered the +6.5 spread

Dallas signs a QB deal for 240 million?? Looks like tickets, parking, and food cost will be going up at the Dallas games!!!

This is ridiculous! And this was a done deal hours before the season started.

The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott have agreed to a four-year, $240 million contract that will make him the highest-paid player in NFL history, per multiple reports. The deal includes $231 million in guaranteed money. ESPN reported the signing first.

Dallas does generate about a Billion in revenue so I reckon they have the money but for goodness sakes it is still nothing more than a game. I do understand players can get hurt and severely at time but I am sure most have insurance for such problems that arise! To me it seems a bit much, but that’s just my opinion from the bench!!!:)

As a Pats fan it was great.

As a fantasy player it sucked! Jake Moody got 26 points tonight and caused me to lose.

It maybe time for Rodgers to call it quits.

Had a 15 point or so lead heading into Monday night with my opponent who had CMC then picked up the backup.

I still had Aiyuk and Kittle left. I lose by 2 points.

Not defending Rodgers, but last night wasn't his fault. The Jets were clearly out-coached. And I hate having to say Shanahan's schemes are masterful. No McCAffrey and Mason still racked up 147 on the ground, and 180 total. And consideing Saleh having been DC under Shanahan/49ers I was a bit surprised at the turn out.

This is why I don't play. I just want to watch/enjoy the games and cheer for my team, and not look at my phone all day long, only to get frustrated.

Tagovailoa (Dolphins QB) took a heck of a hit to his head last night. I hope he will be OK. This was his 3rd time being concussed. Taking massive hits like that makes one wonder how players will be in a couple few years down the road. I have noticed that high school players have access to padded helmets and it would be nice if the NFL would come up with something like that. I just hate seeing players get hurt like that, it seems to me more often these past few years that some players are out to hurt their opponents trying to take them out of the game.

I am not saying that hit was one of those that the opposing player was trying to hurt the QB I just made reference to other hits I have seen in the last few years. Just wanted to put that out there so no one freaks!:)

I think I am in full agreement that his days as a QB should be over. I would hope the team and the team doctors are telling him it would be best to stop playing the football!

I don't mean to make light of the situation, but a lot times it's just heat of the moment and the players aren't necessarily thinking they're going to purposefully injure another player to take them out of the game. Back when i played QB, the mentality was that if the QB decides to cross the LoS as a ball carrier, the defender(s) take the approach of "oh hell yeah, this is fair game, I'll f-ing show you!". I don't think that's any different today, and at the pro level it's probably 10-fold. And factor in the game is much faster and players are arguably more athletic and moving faster, the hits can be crazy.

I do wonder though if the rule change a few years ago to how you're supposed to tackle the QB when he's behind the LoS (not a runner) has defenders missing the days when they can plow into the QB and land on top of them with all their weight for a sack. So maybe they've taken to being more aggressive than ever when the QB decides to rush since that rule would no longer apply at that point.

Regardless, a QB is just asking for it if they're rushing and don't go into a slide and try to break tackles instead.

Yeah that injury was definitely not Hamlin's fault. Tua lowered his head. He very much should retire before he does something permanent if he hasn't already.

It was also pretty eerie. Very similar to the hit that basically killed Hamlin last year.

Late to the party but the hit that Tua took was about as benign a hit a runner can take in the nfl. The problem with concussions, and specifically major concussions, is that some research suggests a higher susceptibility to them once you sustain one - or in tua’s case a few. And the impact that it takes to register a disruption to cognitive activity could be less and less…….it is sad really. I don’t think any decisions need to be made now, but over the course of the next weeks and months he needs to gain perspective on what’s important in life. Could he return eventually? Probably so. SHOULD he return? Only he and his family can answer that. As far as I know his contract is guaranteed and he would still walk away with the money. Although there could be an injury settlement I suppose. Either way he has generational wealth and doesn’t need to play another snap of football. But these guys are wired differently and sadly some don’t know when to say when. I hope for his sake he does
