Just completed adding factory transmission thermostat, factory hard pipe and aftermarket Setrab 15 row series 9 cooler. Buy the parts yourself. Half the cost of the kit being sold.
The stat works around 180 to 185.
Normal range before mod even without trailer in tow is 220 on 75 degree day. 235 with trailer. Currently it runs 186 without trailer at 200 degree water temp. Have not hooked up trailer to know that outcome.
Toyota transmissions are great but running 235 to 240 is ridiculous.

How long was it taking you to get to 220 without a trailer precooler?

Can you please confirm the part numbers you used as well as what cooler and how you mounted it please?
From the research I did these are the part numbers:
Am I missing anything or are there any other small items, adapters, etc... you needed?

    32970 34030 T-Stat
    32941 0C030 Inlet Hose
    32942 0C040 Outlet Hose
32907 0C020 Oil Cooler Tube (where does this go)
    Setrab Cooler 9 Series 15 M22

32907 0C020 Oil Cooler Tube connects to both 32941 0C030 Inlet Hose and 32942 0C040 Outlet Hose. These are on the backend of hard pipe near the t-stat. Then the other ends (2 tubes really) connect to whatever is being used to connect to the external cooler.

I found a fan attached to the cooler drops temps another 30 degrees for extreme situation like towing and repeated stop/go intervals (limits it to 200) - otherwise keeps it under 170 traveling 80 in 105 degree humid weather. I used a 5pin relay plus a bonus On/Off fan switch on dash to shut it down during winter. Luck all.

    Sounds good.
What cooler did you use? How did you mount it? Any small parts needed?
There’s a 25% off sale with free shipping coming up soon. Might have to have my list ready.

I used a Hayden 699 - it opens at 185 so during winter it won't overcool. The Hayden manual says the most effective setup is to mount the cooler directly do the A/C condenser (it comes with rubber mounting feet) - next most effective is mounting away from condenser yet still in the flow of air thru front openings then least effective is mounted away from condenser yet not in direct path of air flow. Any are fine yet the last one probably will need a fan in certain HD situations. I put mine away from condenser yet partially in air path and part not - so I added a fan - what a difference.

Only real small things are a couple of short pieces of hose to make it from hard lines to cooler - maybe 4 ft total and a couple good clamps. The other end will need 4 clamps so 6 total.

Some folks on here have gone with long hoses from the tstat to cooler but I like the engineered hard pipes - no risk of things rubbing themselves to leaking.
