That's a logical side effect of installing new fluid, with refreshed detergents, and a bit more lubricity than the tired fluid in there before.

Might just order 2x of the drain plugs for future use. Given my poor record. Haha. Thanks

That’s definitely a possibility. Not surprised either

guess I’m doing spindles and wheel bearing sooner than I thought

Yeah sounds like I should do that. The gusset pair is pretty inexpensive. Going to try and find a good junk yard spindle this weekend

If I could have stomached the cost, those already gusseted and new OEM bearing ones from that guy would have been so much easier. But they’re $750+ a piece

I think I'm probably going to go that route if I ever spin a bearing in the fronts.

Removed the decaying rear flare clear bras (thanks Shifty for great directions) and also removed the years of bug stains from front bumper. Pleased with how the work turned out.

Does this rust thing also apply with those plastic liners or is it just the spray in liners? The truck I bought has a plastic liner. Is there anything I should be aware of or do to prevent any potential rust?

    Thanks...Al

After multiple unsuccessful attempts using Bug and Tar Sprays - I read about using WD40 oil to remove the bug stains. Article also mentioned other oils. I sprayed WD40 oil on a cloth and rubbed it on the stains. Let it set for about 5 minutes. Then used a sponge and water to scrub bumper.

These tires are a newer tire company. Tires are made in Thailand. Not China. They have an MT that many have been running for years with good results. This is their newer AT/R tire, like some of the RT or hybrids that are out now. These run $170 a piece. So far, they balanced with minimal weight, ride smooth and quiet, but are noticeable stiffer than my prior P rated tires. Don’t feel much difference in braking or accelerating and they do not rub, even with my 1.25” spacers on 4.5” bs wheels. Sidewalls have that BFG side biter pattern on them, so they are good looking IMO. Tread is pretty chunky for an AT.

Me too. I usually chicken out and get the “smart” choice. Then regret my wimpy sized tires for 6 years.

No Kevlar. Thought only Goodyear runs Kevlar. And you won’t catch me running Goodyear on my truck.

Pinned my wheel liners up in the front, zero rubbing now. Just waiting for my rails for the camper shell roof rack to come in. First set came with no hardware.

Spray-in. For the drop-in, you know how to pull it out, right? You should make a point of pulling it out and cleaning under it once every 1-2 years and spraying out whatever's in there like this guy is doing below, and the removal process is pretty universal for most trucks. Let things dry, then hit the bed with a basic spray-on wax, and reinstall the liner. In my other trucks I was just hitting the bed with WD-40, and it worked fine, but there's so many good ceramic/hybrid spray waxes out there these days, it'd be beneficial to do it.

Before you bother with pulling out the liner though, take a sec to do a sanity check like I do yearly, here's the last result. Just lift up the liner from the center, and see if there's a lot of leaf litter and shit up in there. If so, you should pull the liner, clean out, and wax. A little paint rub is normal and shouldn't kill anything. Related tidbit, Toyota still sells the liners, tentatively, but no guarantee it'll be Toyota branded. Part numbers here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/oem-toyota-bedliner-questions.71254/#post-3544056
