My speedometer has lost its mind. The needle is at 60 mph when the vehicle is stopped! Hangs at 90 while driving.
    Anyone had this problem before?

Sounds like all the makings of a modern Cannonball Run IV movie.

Stepper motor failed. Depending on your circuit board soldering skills either DIY or remove the cluster and take to speedometer shop. Before you do that make note of mileage.

My mechanic found out the motor computer was not synced with the abs computer. As soon as he synced them the speedo needle dropped to zero and started working correctly.

And then it started reading 12mph too high. As previously recommended I replaced the stepper motor and so far it's working very well.
    Thank you to bfunke.
