    **SOLVED**

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CN8K49PR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

    The back story:
This morning I installed this window switch and everything went to shit! As soon as I turned the power on to test the switches I got the Air Bag System Malfunction on the dash with all the other lights. My keys stopped working (no lock/unlock) and I couldn't start the truck unless I touched the start button with the fob (per instruction on the dash). All the data on the head unit got wiped along with the map. My climate controls stopped working. It would blow cold but the heat wouldn't work. Of course none of the installed buttons worked either so I ended up putting the oem ones back.

Long story short my 5A ECU-B No.2 fuse blew under the dash. After I swapped the fuse everything went back to normal except my window controls.
So here is the actual issue I need help with.
The front windows work as they should.
    1. Drivers switch wont roll down either of the rear windows
    2. Passenger side rear switch won't roll down the window
Everything else works as it should.
I checked the 2 power relays and 30A fuse under the hood. (Correction I swapped the 2 relays positions and nothing changed)
I checked the 20A door, door R/L and door R/R fuses under the dash.

Point me in the right direction!

So in addition to the 5A ECU-B No.2 fuse, the 30A cartridge fuse on the side of the junction block was blown too. It cost me $5 at Napa but Toyota was trying to make me buy the whole junction box for $350-$550 (I called 2 different dealers) claiming they don't sell fuses by themselves. I also had to do a zero point calibration for the occupant sensor to clear that DTC.
I ended up taking out the body control ECU/junction box (they are attached ) in my trouble shooting process but that wasn't necessary. You can just remove the fuses (there are 4) and see if they are blown.

Wow. Sorry that happened! I ended up installing aftermarket auto up/down switches from Amazon quite a while ago with no issues.

Any idea what blew the fuses? Makes me think some wire(s) got pinched/frayed/exposed and caused a short during or post installation.

So something definitely shorted and it had to be internal to the Amazon unit. There wasn't anything really to pinch as it's a very simple plug and play install. Once I realized that something went wrong, I popped the OEM switch in. I didn’t do anything else to any of the wiring just replaced the fuses and it was good to go. If wiring was the culprit the new fuses would blow too!

What is the zero point calibration for the occupant sensor?

I just installed the same switch from Amazon with same results in my 21 Tundra Trd Pro.

Now I’m checking fuses and so far the 5A is blown, checking the 30A next.

Basically calibrates the passenger seat airbag sensor so that it works properly. It basically has to be done anytime u mess with the seat (like unbolting it) or the sensor (unplug or replace). Did u get a b1784 code?

U need an OBD scanner that has that function

I did not get that code.

So far, I replaced the 5A and 30A fuses and Oreillys checked, no codes. Everything seems to be working fine now.

Really must be a $hit batch of switches from whatever overseas supplier this Amazon seller is using. Yikes.

Have one of you guys put a multimeter on the bad switches or popped open the casing to look at the circuit board for scorched diodes/capacitors/resistors or other scorching? Just curious.

I haven’t. I just left an accurate review on Amazon and did a return.

In the listing it says the switch is not compatible with 1794 and Platinum. I just assume it’s also not compatible with TRD PRO also and they the listing is incorrect.

Strange. I wonder what makes those trims levels different? Maybe 1794 & Plat come with auto up/down standard? I'm sure one of the more seasoned guys will chime in. I'm still learning my way around all of the wiring in the 2nd Gen.

It's because the 1794 and Platinum come standard with both auto up/down for the front seats where the other trims come with only the driver's seat with auto up/down, so you're not far off.

I didn't even see that. They should have just said SR5 models only in the title if that's the case.

My Limited has auto up/down for both front windows ao that only leaves SR5 as the compatible trim. They should really correct their listing if that is the case.

Ah, thanks for the correction but don't forget about the SR folks, lol. And, someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think the early model TRD Pros had the front row auto as optional, just the driver side, so I can imagine that whoever made the switch doesn't know which trims and what years match.
