She's beautiful.

I'm a Russian Blue nut. Best cat and animal friend I ever had was Emerson:



He was a big dude with extra long fangs and his eyes only seemed to open a little more than halfway. He was all-attitude and followed me everywhere. Had him from when he was a kitten to 9 years old. One day his back legs stopped working and he became incontinent. Carried him around from room to room in a puppy pad lined plastic bin for a year in the hopes that he'd get better. Saying goodbye to him was the hardest thing I've ever done.

About 6 months later we found "Myshka". She's the opposite of Em. Very shy, tiny, and she squeaks like a mouse. Great cat though.

 

I was safe with Emerson (nobody else was) but I know this new one is out to get me. She's always doing that shit where she's watching from the stairs... or under a bed... and sometimes she looks at me like this:

 

Oh yeah, somebody in the last 100 or so years etched "Hi" about 8ft up on the staircase (you can see it under her head).

 

Ghosts for sure.

 

Or demons.

 

Absolutely beautiful Joel. Bleu will actually let you hold her as she is laying on her back. I know there will come a day when we will have to say goodbye though. We found out this week our other cat, Izzy has cancer. She’s a good cat and is close to the wife, will be tough on the her when she goes. Here she is hugging her foot.

 

Aw - you just have to remind yourselves how lucky you are to have had them in your lives.

We’ve lost two of our favorites this summer just not coming back in at night and never seen again. It’s hard.

that’s probably why I’ve come to love cats so much… they don’t give any fucks, and affection is on their terms. I can totally get behind that, because I usually feel the same way.

I also enjoy being pet, so there’s that too.
