    Well he may not have liked my offer. He wants 60k. I offered 53 and change due to the car having 11 going on 12 year old tires.

    Kinda ridiculous asking premium price for a sports car that needs 2000.00 in tires

    I understand that point, but from a slightly different perspective...

    I wouldn't let $2k in tires be the deciding factor in the transaction or steer me away from having what I want (if it's the perfect vehicle for you)

    You'll spend that in travel, fuel, registration, immediate mods (a rear wing and stuff or other mods that need to be done on a potential car) w/o batting an eye

    Also, he may be someone that simply doesn't negotiate at all over the phone/email, etc. I know many that refuse to talk price unless you're face to face; at this point you haven't committed to him and you're not prepared to immediately take delivery. It would be different if you were negotiating over the phone/web w/the intention of buying sight unseen, but you're not...

    Not saying there's anything wrong w/your approach, just offering another perspective. However, if it was me on the other end of the transaction, I would simply reply, 'Thank you for your interest, but I don't negotiate remotely. I would encourage you to come view/test drive the vehicle and assess your position from there' :thumbsup:

    For the record I have nothing against EV’s and their performance. Absolutely legit stuff. But if I want to get my rocks off it’s gonna be with a good ol v8 and not with something that has the emotional qualities of a toaster.

    Most of the tires on the cars we have been discussing shouldn't be driven under 45*F anyway. They get a bit slick. On my last Corvette you would get a warning at 43*. Snow tested my ass. :rofl:
