They chased a few deer this weekend...

 

We like the bed because it folds up small and it's quick to open/close.

We just used a small moving blanket from Harbor Freight, easy to wash and she likes them.

I like the color of your new bed, would probably hide dirt a bit better. It was a little wet that weekend so the bed got a bit dirty, but we washed it when we got home and it all washed out.

 

Those deer got close, mine would have barked long before they got that close haha

Our other yellow lab that pasted a few years ago walked so good that we usually didn't walk her on leash, even through crowded areas. One night walking through a small town along Saginaw Bay a deer popped up out of nowhere about 20ft ahead of us from a dried river bed, we all stopped, then our dog took off after it and almost back down into the dried river bed. Normally we could recall her mid chase of squirrel or rabbits but this was her first time seeing a deer and it took a few calls for her to stop.

 

I couldnt believe how close they would come to the campsites. I think they are regularly fed by the long term campers.

The yellow one(Husky/Sheppard/Pit) wasn't taking too kindly to them initially. We let her off lead on a walk in the woods and she took off after one.

 

Webley and I just got back from running some trails around Silverton CO. Great trip.

Did some swimming off the boat over the holiday weekend. This day the wind had been blowing, it was wavy and the water wasn’t as clear but it still turned out good. She loves the water

Well, my pup wasn't doing good last night and basically quit eating. I got 4 hours of sleep so called in and took him to the best veterinarians in the state (Texas A&M University). Luckily, we are only an hour and a half away.

Spent all day there and TL;DR he's got Leukemia. His white blood cell count is off the charts at 231,000. Vet said it shouldn't be more than 4,000.

I've got one test left to tell me if he's Chronic or Acute - if it's the latter, game over. Chronic, we can get up to 2 more years. Either way, today was a hard day for this clan

Thanks man. Was a hard drive home. Sat in the parking lot and kinda drained the ol tear ducts...14 years old and he's been with me 12. Before the wife, before kids, before owning a home...multiple cities, roommates, friends, girlfriends...lotta life shared with this guy
