Everyone will get a rental from Toyota. I have seen the paperwork. If I remember it was up to two or three months if need be. That was over a month ago. Doubt there was insurance on the rental

Also confirm we're guaranteed a rental. Now, if only we could choose what to pick...

Yeah Roseville Toyota in CA definitely turned down any rental truck aka above $60/day, Camry is embarrassing to drive

I am in the process of a Toyota buyback now I have email confirmation that I will be getting a brand new 25 and estimated 10/7 build date. I currently have a 22 purchased in January 2022.

No offence but my truck is 2 years old and doesn't have " usual wear and tear dents and scratches". Just park at the back of a lot or park in the middle of 2 parking spaces. I am sure you will be fine besides....it's also insured

What was the process like? Mileage? Did your engine fail or did you just turn it in because of the recall?

I'm in the same boat. My insurance fully covers the rental they gave me, plus Toyota reimbursed my tow. General manager estimated that it will be after January for engines to start and roll out. Make sure to put something in the windows to keep the sun from burning up your interior. The whole thing sucks! But dealer said it's a new crated engine, plus turbos and everything the oil touches. Let you know when I hear something.

I have a post in the turbo failure forum. The engine hasn’t failed as I’m currently driving it, but I opened up a Lemon law case for the multiple issues I’ve had especially the turbos and they agreed to replace it with a brand new 25.
