I've seen it but didn't like it as much as I expected to. Same for Casino and Raging Bull.

That's OK, if everyone liked the same thing, life would be pretty boring.

Hell of a day. One of the dogs had diarrhea and when I got home the house reeked. I pulled up all the carpet in the area in question as well as all of the tack strip. Heading to Lowe's in the morning to replace carpet with an LVT. Not a project I wanted to spend time or money on but for my sanity it's completely necessary.

Let's not pussify the language and spell it like you want it to sound. Not one E exists in the word so we won't say it like it does.

I’d really like to hear multiple point of views from people in the medical field (that aren’t sponsored by big pharmaceuticals) about pain management. My surgeon was big time against oxy, but at the same time that’s what he prescribed for me. He did specifically say that that it’s bad stuff and to quit taking it asap. Maybe i didn’t take it in high enough doses, but it’s didn’t do much for me. I would have loved to get some sort of sleep rest at night for the first 3+ months…in fact i was praying to God for rest, just because it felt like i was slowly withering away from not being able to sleep much at all. Ironically my prayers were answered in the most peculiar way…i somehow caught covid. The flu sapped the rest of my energy and made me super tired that i ended up getting five hours of uninterrupted sleep for 2 nights in a row! Then as quickly as i got the flu, it quickly disappeared. Yes i did thank the Lord for that blessing!

Since i have always done lots of rollerblading, skateboarding, BMX, and dirtbike riding, i’ve had plenty of very painful injuries. When laid up from those said injuries, i’ve always wondered how people in 3rd world countries currently deal with pain management. And not just 3rd world, but 100 years ago here in america. Were people more tuff back then? Most of the time i use ice and clamp down on a bite stick when taking clothes on or off the affected body part, and wear a bite plate at night to keep from gnashing the teeth (don’t want to wear off tooth enamel).

Also i try to mentally trick my brain into thinking to change the pain to a different sort of feeling…such as warmth usually works for me. Both those feelings are kinda go hand in hand, and are a bit similar, so i try to focus on my thoughts to that. No doubt it’s VERY challenging and it doesn’t work 100% of the time, but when it works, it does provide me with some relief.

Just some ramblings that i figured i throw out there.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    my $.02

    I dealt with 8/10 L5/S1 back pain* in 6/2005.
    it was bad.
    it was consistent.
I had radiopathy down to my toes.

    this lasted about 8 month.

    did not work:
    oxy
    advil
    tramedol
    tylenol
    codeine

see...nerve pain is different. normal drugs don't work.

Medrol (methyl-pred?)works for 5 days. it's majic. then the pain comes back. IT WORKS
@T-Rex266 consider asking for the 5 day pack. my Doc gave me this for the 5 days I had before surgery.

I was told, when nerves are damaged, the brain sends white blood cells to "repair" the damage. well, this causes PAIN.
    the Medrol shuts that off.

but the human brain is awesome...see huge pain like that gets "normalized" in the brain.

in my case in turned into a mild depression. My wife called me out on this. as I did not notice.

I was walking like Fred Sanford.

    MRI showed a 7mm ball between L5/S1.

Then, I had a laser discectomy....and I shit you not...I woke up pain free.
Thank you Dr. R. Eric Santos.

    the depression cloud lifted.

    in short...
learn to calm the brain. Magnesium helps
find the spot to sleep that does not hurt.
    listen to your PT
it will soon be over...in a year.

*uh...I caused it. doing 545lb good morning from a dead stop - and I broke form. I am not ashamed.

I think I've seen 1 or 2 American pie movies, yes to some hangovers, and yes to step brothers. That's the most yesses I've ever given out lol.
No to John wick and yes to a few fast and furious movies.

Eh, English does stuff weird some times. Look at bough and tough and cough.

Not a stretch to have the A sound at the start of apricot. It's just the British way.

Though I do love a classy english accent on a pretty woman. Infinitely more attractive. Anyone who disagrees just needs to listen to Elizabeth Hurley.
