Not sleeping a whole lot at a time kinda helps prevent you from getting in to some good REM sleep. But, why is this good, as we'd think it would be ideal for recovery to sleep more??? When we enter a deep sleep, our bodies become slaves to our minds; and in your deep sleep your mind would be telling you your shoulder is fine and that it's okay to do some weird shit w/it while you're past (did that just for @GODZILLA ) out. No, seriously though, you move and contort your body and shoulder into all kinds of positions that it shouldn't be in; which isn't good
