So I've been doing a lot of research on exhausts, including all of the opinions on this site, and they're a lot of them! I've narrowed my choices to two, BAMufflers and Borla. I'm hearing nothing but good things about the BA's, never heard of the company before but that doesn't mean anything. I owned a Borla cat back on a 97 Camaro and it was the best built thing on that car. It had a nice low end growl without being obnoxious, which is what I'm looking for now.

I get it Borla is $$$, granted you do get the full cat-back system and the dual pipes exiting both sides (i like the look). BA's 8" system is basically straight pipes w/resonator for about half the price. It does seem that once you've purchased BA's you have the company behind you through the whole installation process until your 100% satisfied, Borla probably not!

My dilemma is if I have the financial means, do I go with the BIG NAME company with all the shiny parts or go with the smaller great reputation company that might not have the bells and whistles but could probably replicate that sound and performance I'm desiring at half the cost. I just don't want to spend it if I don't have too.

Have you had a chance to check out the exhaust video compilation? I am going with TRD, which is made by Borla. Sometimes you get what you paid for....knowing it was designed for perfection giving you the most you can get out of an exhaust, IMO.

I had "Street Flow" on my last Tundra which sounded decent too.

Keep in mind that the BA is not a full cat back. It just replaces the muffler. You still retain the stock pipe from the muffler out. That is where the main savings is.
I have the 6" BA. I like it alot. It can be loud at times with the windows down but no drone and sounds good when cruising around.
The 8" is deeper but a little quieter. Wish i could have heard both in person before making my decision. I'm very happy with my purchase.
