Stain in clear coat??

    After washing my new truck not even 2 weeks old i have this brownish stain on the hood I tried goo gone wax, and rubbing compound and idea how to get this removed???

    Looks like bug remains or bird droppings. Try bug and tar remover, I like armoral or turtle wax. Also, you may give tuffstuff a go.

    It was bird dropping, wasn't even on the truck for more then 15 hr, I will have to try that. I feel it is below the clear coat it's super smooth over that brown area.

    I would clay bar to remove containments, and do a heavy cutting compound followed by a polish

    Id try like 3k sand paper and polishing...if no difference, then try 2k and polish it again

    Would then apply a heavy cutting compound followed with a polish. The compound, with an aggressive pad, should help or solve most of it imo

    Be careful with this.....from the pics and description....it looks as though the bird dropping has etched into the clearcoat. Toyotas have notoriously thin clearcoat. My sense is that you will only be able to improve this spot....not completely eliminate it

    Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
    If your dealer has a body shop, ask them. polishing removes finish. Once you find out you went too deep, you are screwed.
