I purchased a 2019 Platinum used back in May, and recently I've noticed an intermittent noise coming from the front passenger wheel. The sound is only audible when the window is open and typically occurs while turning to the right. It's not consistent—sometimes it's louder, other times it's barely noticeable. Could this be something as simple as the brake dust shield rubbing against the rotors? Where else should I look?

Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
what does the noise sound like?

Lots of possibilities- brake rotor, dirt/sand/rocks in there, dust shield, bad wheel bearing, CV/axle, steering or other suspension component or bushing. Need more info on the truck, any truck mods, miles, and more info on the sound

Of course. I should have been more clear. The reason I mentioned the dust shield is because that is what it sounds like to me. Its a rythmic, metallic sound and changes with speed. It is just odd that it isn't always there when I turn, but when it is there, it is only when I turn to the right.

As far as the truck, I do not know how much is stock since I bought it used. It originally had aftermarket wheels on that stuck out past the fenders and I had the dealer put on TRD wheels instead. I assume it has some TRD suspension parts, only because I think that is an option for Platinum models.

Pull the wheel and check rotor and dust shield for visual signs of rub or something wedged in btwn rotor and shield. Had something similar happen on my rig 2 different times over the years. One on passenger front turned out to be a spinnerbait from fishing wedged in btwn rotor and shield and the other was a slightly bent shield on driver rear after a tire rotation. Tech must have hit and bent the shield just a bit when changing wheels. Both were easy fixes.
