Those are a killer addition to the truck, you're gonna love them! The price tag on those trail hunters is hard to stomach

I've been planning on pulling my RCI's to clean and repaint the frame, which I hadn't done prior to install and I regret. Did you drill the additional holes as RCI recommends?

I didn't when I installed mine. I haven't felt any need to during daily use or as actual rock sliders, they seem pretty stout as they are just using the factory holes.

I already love them. They're extremely well built and designed. I already dented my door and was lucky not to damage the cab on a trail without sliders so I learned my lesson. This gives me huge peace of mind.

I actually did not see those recommendations in the instructions I looked at. I purchased these second hand and just used the existing bolt locations that the previous owner used. He did not do any drilling and wheeled the truck a fair bit. Do you have a link? I'd like to see where they recommended to drill.

Ordered a set of Perry parts bump stops. Now to decide which skid plates to go with.

Wished that was the case when I installed my WKOR sliders. Took one to the side of my eye when I was drilling holes for the sliders.

But, they’re an extremely nice set of sliders. I’m going to need to pull them off and repaint them. Still haven’t repainted my trans skid yet.

He was just south of Springtown, TX

Excellent excuse to buy a winch bumper now. Except it looks like winching forward would have just dug him in deeper, but still

Traded the old girl in! I had been looking for a new ride all summer and last week while on vacation my '19 became a Jeep Wrangler. Probably just getting broken in with 56k miles on her but a few things that needed attention soon were enough to push me along. I will still be around as i enjoy the bourbon thread.

My truck is my light duty wheeler, I've got a T100 I'm solid axle swapping for the big stuff, but I'd still like the piece of mind that they're on as securely as possible.

    https://rcimetalworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/07-20-Tundra-Slider-Installation.pdf

Step 9. I haven't done it yet, Like I said I'm going to pull mine back off, clean and paint the frame, and reinstall them and drill the lower holes as well. I bought some conical washers like some of the aftermarket skid plates come with to protect the lower bolts.

I did, but didn't see much gain from it. In sport/4 with tow haul on, my scangauge showed 6-7 mpg, and it kept locking/unlocking the converter, and the converter temps kept spiking above 240 degrees when the converter was unlocked. With it in tow haul, and drive, it shifted between 4th and 5th at 65 mph, but when in 5th with the converter locked the temps stayed right around the 200-205 range and that is where I got the best mileage. It downshifted when needed for passing and hills but I was able to find the sweet spot in the throttle to maintain 5th/locked at 65 mph on the flats.

I added a set to my 2010 years ago, wry good quality. The only tip I can give is make sure the new leather is nice and warm so it stretches easier. I did it in triple digits in Arizona and it was not bad. I thought the company had a good video but it was years ago.

Finally received the upgraded Land Cruiser blower motor. Will get that installed this next weekend. Noco Boost XL GB50 finally arrived also. Amazon lost the first shipment so I had to cancel and reorder. Opted for the Noco carry case as well.

I used Serra Toyota. They were pretty slow to ship though. I had ordered back on 8/10/24 and just received it today. Looking at the labels on the box I’m betting they didn’t have it in stock as it appears to have been shipped from another dealership in MO over to Serra Toyota on 8/21/24 then probably headed my way after.

I just got to help pull the intake off a jeep with 19k miles replacing a fuel injector. The intake manifold is held together by what looked like wood screws going into ABS plastic. Craziest shit I’ve ever seen on a $50k vehicle.

Yes, there is a pocket on the other half that fits the bag, jumper cables, charging cord, and 12v adapter. The case also has a handle on it. I think it was $25 on Amazon.
