Wife and I are picking a new vehical. I have 2011 Tundra 5.7 346000 miles. Starting to see small issues getting fixed nothing crazy.
So Question is. Trade my old girl in for a new Tundra or just buy a new rav4, Keep the tundra ?

I currently drive my tundra 30000 miles a year and pull camper. And also you guys know truck stuff. I used to use it for work now it just drives me to point A to B. And I love it.
Thoughts please and thank you Vince.

With times the way they're going, I'd keep the Tundra, it's already paid off... Worse case scenario you sell it private sale for more than what the dealer will offer you..

Keep the Tundra and don't buy ANY hot new garbage. Instead use the money to freshen up the truck as needed. Cheaper insurance, safer, and no payment or large out of pocket expenditure.

I’d wait until the whole engine fiasco is over then buy a new one. You’d probably save a couple thousand per year on gas alone. That would pay for a good chunk of the new truck in 10 years.

I would definitely keep what you have. Even with a couple of major repairs to keep it safe and reliable, you will come out ahead.

3 mpg for 90k is probably small enough to where the trade in won’t eat it. Couple grand a year for ten years would be 20k, subtract the higher insurance etc. and I’d say peeps should get whatever truck they enjoy over looking at mileage :notsure:
