New Member from El Paso, TX

Hello, I've been a member for a couple of weeks but hadn't introduced myself. I currently own a 2014 Tundra Crewmax Limited and and 2014 Sequioa Limited (Wife's Truck). We've had them both for a year an a half and a year each. Great vehicles and very comfortable. Would be great if the MPG's were better. We've done a few mods on both, but not quite done. Currently working on wheels for it. Not having much luck in that area because I replaced the tires a few months ago and it seems that I went a little big (305/55/20) Toyo's. I was happy with that, but added the Bushwaker fender flares and now it just looks weird. Tried several wheels, but not finding any with the right offset. Everyone wants to do some major trimming and just not comfortable with that. Any suggestions?

I assume that you have no wheel spacers. I don't like the idea of wheel spacers, but many people seem not to have any problems with them. That might be the ticket for you. Stock wheels are 60 mm, so if you get one inch spacers, that should eliminate rubbing. If you want the wheels/tires to stick out more, you should be able to do 1 & 1/4 would also work. Because your wheels are 8 inches wide, you should be able to use as large as 1 & 1/2 inch spacers.

Another option? But a set of after-market wheels. 18 mm offset (9 inch wide) is what I have and the outer edge of the tire is just roughly even with fender flares.

 

I know my rims are 18mm offset/9" wide and if I had flares the tires would be pretty much even. They stick out now about 3/4" .

Thank you. I like the way your truck sits. Looks sharp. I tried a set of 1 1/2" spacers and they work great. I didn't purchase them from the local dealer because he wanted $488 for them. Pretty outrageous. Found them online for less than half of that. Before I order them I'm going to take some time tomorrow to go check out some aftermarket wheels. That 's what I wanted to do in the first place anyway.
