Yeah, not getting anything when I approach. LEDs dont seem to dim in and out like OEM...maybe proximity brightness is lower and not enough v to power the MESOs

Along with the courtesy function, when you open door/ or turn the lights on from in the inside there is also a delay in the front set. The rears kick on right away followed by the fronts. Please let us know. Love your products. Thanks again.

On my ‘22 Limited, when opening the door, the rear domes come on instantly but there’s a 3-4 sec delay before the front map lights turn on. Meso has been very responsive so far.

I was considering order these but I think I'll wait to hear about this delay issue.. maybe if there's an identified fix, I'll buy them. The approach issue doesn't concern me though..

Just checked the proximity feature...rears come on but not fronts. Fronts come on as soon as I open the door, rears remain on.

Hmm I was pretty excited about how bright it was originally. But I do have most of the problems the other people are mentioning. I didn't notice it at first but I too don't have the proximity dimming on. Additionally, the front map lights do have a delay in turning on for sure.

Will there be an add on relay or something? Had them in my taco and worked great. The light out put on these in the tundra is also great but a bit annoying how they lag.

I heard back from Meso on the map light delay. They said the factory map lights have a slight signal delay built into them. The Meso map lights enhance that signal delay. I’m not sure what I’ll do, it’s a 3-4 second delay in my Limited. I’m already sliding into my seat when the map lights come on. Plus it’s a little annoying. I asked them if there were any plans for a revamp or modification but haven’t heard back on that yet.

In my '24 Limited, I'll call it a noticeable delay and I don't like it. The back lights come on way before the front each time and that is annoying. Why can't the front fade on too?

The back are nice, but at this point I'll advise against spending money on the front.

Hope they come up with a fix. Feels like $150 was a bit much to be annoying myself with a delay.

I too hope for a fix. I troubleshot this for Travis at Meso this week on my truck. I at least want the front approach lights to come on just like the Oem ones. I hope Meso makes good on this.

Threw them into red for shits and giggles. Turned them off and when back on still red. The ones in taco would always got back the white. So something is up with these. Might return them and that sucks as everything Messo has been great to date. Not blaming them but no courtesy lights/ big delay and staying red ? I’ll give t a week or two to see what they figure out. Love Messed products so hoping something.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a discount from Meso Customs. I don't think they believe in discounts. I asked them about it after seeing several on the Internet that didn't work. I also asked about a veteran discount. They said there are no discounts, but surprisingly they said they give a military/veteran discount using the code "MIL." It didn't work, LOL...they emailed me saying they fixed it, still didn't work. I have no idea if or when they will fix it but at a certain point waiting is not worth the likely 5% or 10% discount that code might yield. They must be really short-staffed there, any communication gets an answer a minimum of a day or two later, and they don't have a phone number so there is probably no actual customer service person there. Small business problems.

For the rear light? I watched there video and pulled the rear light clips only to find out the Messo one came assembled with the clips.

Going back to white was an issue they fixed in the second generation of the dual color lights so that they would stay red when you shut your truck off. Going back to white was not working as intended.

I literally just ordered the front lights. This is disappointing to see issues with them. I’ll cancel the order until they get them sorted out. I have the rear light and it works great.

Well folks, I traded e-mails with Meso today, as I have been helping them to troubleshoot this problem. Here is their official stance to all us 3rd Gen owners:

Sorry for the delay, I was doing research on it, as of now that is a normal function with our harness, if you are unsatisfied you are welcome to return it.
    Thanks.

    Trevor N,
    MESO Customs

The above was regards to the proximity lighting not working on the front lights, not the delay. So, I then e-mailed them back and said that this is disappointing. Will you be fixing the harness in the future and offering this to those of us whom have already purchased your parts? The response was:

We will look into it in the future. As of now you may return it if the proximity function is a must.
    Trevor N,
    MESO Customs

I'm kind of having mixed emotions on this. I mean...to me this is a design miss and now we are stuck eating the shit sandwich. These were supposed to be drop in replacements (form, fit, function) and they are not. To get the front to illuminate with the back light can't be that hard. All it is a positive or negative trigger wire.....And go figure, I installed and threw the Meso boxes away!

It's likely due to a voltage/current ramp to gracefully turn on the OEM leds. Add a shit load of leds to the circuit, takes longer to reach turn on. Unless there is another power supply available in the harness, it's no longer plugnplay

You're probably exactly right. The Meso LEDs are probably all or nothing, similar to how some LED bulbs for home use are dimmable, while others are not.
