I’m thinking of trading in my 2012 tundra 5.7 4wd RW sr for a 2017 tundra 5.7!4wd platinum.

my tundra has 157k miles while that tundra has 56k miles

the reason I’m looking to trade is I think it will be a better choice for me considering the miles and some of the features it has such as

    • leather seats
    • ventilatted and heated seats
    •jbl sound system

here is the tundra in question that I am looking at.

I would ask for a full report of all that was replaced/ repaired from the accident before pulling the trigger on the purchase.

It has low miles for a 17, but that’s a high price.

To add that see if you can have pre purchase inspection done at a dealer or trustworthy garage. Had a buddy buy a "good" car that ended up irreparable frame damage.

"$10,000 and above = $799.00 Dealer Processing Charge" Is that a standard fee in your area?

Don’t do it. I would never buy a truck knowing it was in an accident. Accidents transfer huge amounts of force to other components that will shorten the life.

    Also, that’s overpriced.

You may want to look into heated Clazzio seat covers or similar. Can't recall brand names right now. Sound upgrade is easy.

Without accident history and low miles, that would be an avg asking price in our area. Accident history definitely adds buyer leverage from that price.

Yes and no. A fender tap of someone backing out can count as an accident if the police or body shop do a report. The trouble is finding out what kind of accident, because sometimes CARFAX is wrong and sometimes you can’t buy the accident report or the report isn’t listed on the CARFAX. You may have purchased a truck that was in an unreported accident before and the person repaired it themselves, which would be the worst of all possibilities.

Also it’s 90% the exact same truck.

Add seat heaters and whatever else to the current truck.

Get your 2012 paid off if you haven't already and retrofit the stuff you want into it. If used and maintained normally, your current engine is not going to die anytime soon.

Not worth the risk. Did you read to Carfax? Sure doesn’t look like a “fender tap”.
