Personally, I think their particular coatings are garbage and not worth the investment. There's two parts to this argument. The first being the product itself just sucks. I killed OP's 7 year coating in 5 months of "stress testing." I figured I'd treat the coating like a bad client may. No washes, no toppings, just let it go. Within that 5 months, OP performed the worst compared to the others and was not able to be brought back. Second, OP pushes "we are warrantied, we go on CarFax." If you look at the warranty itself and lookup BBB reviews of the third-party company that manages the warranties, rarely do they cover any warranty work and when they do, you're just getting the same product reapplied. Why push a "look at us, we are warrantied" objective? If your coating is so good, why would you need a warranty pushed so hard? There's a reason a bunch of big name dudes at the top of OP left or disappeared. One went to Koch Chemie, the others phased out. OP has been shown to just be a rebranded, marked up Technician's Choice coatings (literally the same bottling).

If your buddy is regularly washing/utilizing a drying aid, there's no telling if the coating would be working effectively or if his toppers are doing the job...essentially making his investment of an OP coating obsolete. Based on that company's website, you're looking at $1600 just for the coating, not including paint correction. So $2k plus for a correction and coating....absolute garbage. For reference, a one stage correction and Undrdog Pro from me for a full size truck is $1300.

Feynlab coatings are extremely good. They're more selective with the people they choose to have access to and apply their coatings. They are very expensive, but for good reason. I've never seen a complaint about Feynlab from anyone and it was one of the coating companies I was looking into (decided against it because they need very precise controlled environments to apply them in, whereas my shop is a 30x40 detached garage without roof insulation and no heat/ac...so we are subject to outside elements making Feynlab application difficult).

Take all this with a grain of salt though. Experiences vary across the board with various coatings and that primarily comes down to who performs the work. Coatings are easy to apply, but they're also easy to f*ck application up causing premature issues down the road.

@Ckatz53 How has the UD Pro coating held up over the past couple of years? I live in the DFW area and can pick up their stuff locally. Very interested to hear about it's longevity.

Sorry, haven't been active on here in a minute. UD Pro and Pro+ have been great. Still regularly installing them on people's cars. We sold the Camry I had it on and I haven't had time to apply it to my own truck. Just busy, otherwise I would. I see client's vehicles back relatively frequently and it does great. Clogging here and there like any coating does, but comes back much easier (less hassle with decon/a waterspot remover, etc.). I get numerous callbacks to coat client's other vehicles with it after doing one for them so they like it. No complaints!
