I’ve had this X431 in my cart for a few months, wondering if it’s the right one for 07-21 tundras. What Xtool are you using and is it good for 07-21 Tundras?

 

That looks like same one i had briefly. Liked the Launch better than XTool D7 but not enough for me to keep either one. Could be that i didnt know how to really use them or could be they really are both convoluted to get to right menus to do tasks. Both can do same stuff i think. Also be aware that buying on Amazn likely gets you a gray market device. AKA not really meant for US distribution but some guy got some global versions to resell there. Wont get factory support but they'll work. Launch specifically states they do not sell on Amazn.

 

I run the D7 my 2018 Tundra is why o bought it. I needed to be able to reset my Alcohol percentages because flex fuel trucks are stupid.

 

I have a Scangauge pro installed in the FJ. It gives me realtime gauges and an alert if a hit a code right away. It’s come in handy when shit went wrong or when monitoring temp levels offroad.

not anything I need in the tundra yet. Hell the alpine Hu will tell ya a lot.

 

I need to reset my alcohol percentages every weekend because my apprenti are stupid.

 

I reset it in my Tundra and it still shows 0 alcohol since Feb. My Sequoia jumped back to 85% within a day or 2 of resetting. Wondering if my Sequoia might need ECU update that was in that TSB or if it has other issues maybe.

 

I got the XTool D8 off Temu believe it or not. Did a little research and found out that they drop ship from Los Angeles. Same exact tool you get on Amazon but ~$150 cheaper. D8 is full bidirectional and allows for programming of pretty much all modules whereas the D7 is a little more restrictive. Anyway, just my $.02..

 

Plus, your ECU and other stuff get backed up to servers in China for free!

Scanguage Pro you say? I've been using a SG2II as my speedometer for a minute now but didn't know there was a pro model. Unless they fukt up and it renders best gens obsolete, I may need one.
