Ugh. I should have been sick today.

I picked up some food right before work, they messed up the order. When I was waiting for it I texted my coworker so he'd know I was on the way.

Got to work a half an hour early so I could have an easy hand off for the shift. It generally makes the whole shift go more smoothly if the start isn't super rushed.

Got to my desk, got signed in, and immediately saw all kinds of shit on fire. Great. Joking IMed the guy I'm relieving "Looks like I should have stayed home" and he responds "You must not have got my text. Told you you should get food poisoning and call in today." Check my phone. Yup. He tried to warn me.

So, instead of an easy slow start to the Monday it was an immediate "Let me know when I can call you, I need help" for a bunch of issues. Definitely claiming that extra half hour today.

Exciting homeowner shit.
Got the first coat of Killz on the platform that supports my water softener and air handler. My condensate drain isn't catching everything off of the coils so it makes it's way down to the supply duct.
My short term solution; drilled a small hole in the duct so it drains on the concrete instead of the plywood.
Working so far.

 

Busy day and there will be no time to rest until next Monday. But my Diamondback finally arrives on Thursday so adding that to my todo list.

Wife and I agreed there will be no weekend plans in October…We just need to make it thru September!

 

Well now you have to let it happen and we need to see pics. Show that natural sweater off!
