But as a certified tow LEO, could you then make a profit towing all those aggressive drivers cars away? Following the slippery slope, you could then take that profit and pay for your retirement vehicle without taking any cash out of your current retirement fund.

Cadillac CT4 Blackwing is out. Went and did a test fit today. My kids heads were almost hitting the roof.

Well,,,,,,, I reckon this Ram 1500 is my last vehicle, thank goodness it’s a Crewcab! Wife would like this to be my last vehicle and she really likes so I would have to agree with her. Hope it stays in good shape and keeps running like a top!:)
My wife wants me to pay it off quickly so she can look at a new car. The two she has been looking at is the CT5V and the Blackwing and the other is the CT4V. Either is fine with me. We shall see?

This is so frustrating and a drain on me.

This is the cheapest ZR1 C6 in the US.
    IMG_5251.png

This is the typical C6 ZR1

    IMG_5256.png

For those prices, might as well get a newer Z06 that totally rips

    IMG_5250.png

Makes me just wanna drop it all, get a new truck and then be done with it.

Isn’t the ZR1 a track car? I doubt owners want to part with them that quickly but I don’t live in the demographic of owning a daily driver and having a track car for the weekend, so I’m just guessing here.

The Z06 C6 was the track car, the ZR1 is the ultimate corvette that wants to kill you.

I finally got my ban on Corvette Forums lifted and really dove into long term ownership. So I have some decisions to make...but some educated ones. I did find a Z06 in Denver with all the packages I want for open road racing (2LZ performance package with Z07 carbon ceramic brakes). Heads have been repaired with no other mods. Reliability over compromise. If 505 hp in a 3100 lb car isn't enough....

I really like my '14 C7 with a ProCharger. Picked it up used a few years ago, on a whim. Scrolling CL and was looking at it, wife happened by and simply said, "you should go drive that".

Tuned for 600HP at the wheels, about 5-6psi of boost. Still want a CT5 Blackwing, or a Z06, but the market remains very stupid.

My only gripe is the 'Vette is not the easiest to get in and out of.

I would rather PPF it under my ownership. You would know the shop used, quality of product, age of the film and have a better warranty situation.

    My .02 :hattip:

Good point. It was just done a few months ago at a local shop. All warranty paperwork available.

Black is my last color of my top three/four choices. That's for sure.

Did they delete the AFM? Lord I hope so.

It's an M7, and that only happens in "Eco" mode which I never use; I'm always in Sport mode. The A8 drivetrains have more AFM issues, and the dreaded torque tube issues as well.

Car had about 10k on it when I got it ... hoping that if a prior owner ever used Eco mode, it was minimal. Original owner was in Denver but sold it when he moved to FL.

I misunderstood the thread. I thought it was your “dream” retirement car.

I’m going to end up with a Corvette or Porsche. I’m going back to the track.

The lifters are still the problem. A full AFM delete is the best way to go. FYI. Good winter project if you have a heated garage in MT. Lord knows you need it up there.:D:D

Copy that. Winters are long, dreary, and miserable compared to CO where I grew up. Heated garage is a necessity. It's also torture staring at all the 'fun things' that I don't get to use for 6 or 7 months ... bikes, motos, Vette, etc.

My tuner is booked out 2yrs on motor work ... I may not have the car by then. If I do the cam, might as well do it all with forged pistons, rings, etc. and that's going down a rabbit hole. I'm no wrench and only trust myself with basic maintenance and bolt-on mods. Engine internals = not my thing.

We are polar opposites then. I grew up there and now live in CO (for the time being).

It's not a really bad job. Pull intake and heads, valley plate and solenoids, replace High volume oil pump and lifters.

    Since you have 6 months....:D

If I end up purchasing a ZR1 in your area...have to grab a beer and race them around a bit....for science.

What? You think I'm any different than any of you?

I've been banned off more sites for shenanigans than I would like to admit. The only difference is I have to follow the rules we enforce here. :anonymous: Bob runs a fair and tight ship. Probably why all his sites are pretty successful.
