Thank you! We couldn’t stand how walled off everything was, so we opened it up for the view

Looks good. Looks to need some more screws, 6" on edges and 8" in the field.

Yeah I’m not gonna lie, I got a little lazy on the last couple sheets, I plan on going back and buzzing a few more in this afternoon. But I will say that I was amazed with how few fasteners were holding the old sheets up when I demoed the old kitchen out. Those guys back 40 years ago when the house was built didn’t give a shit lol

Finally decided where we will be placing our propane tank and our together a quick pad to set it on.

Skipped a few steps because its main job is to keep me from having to do grass control underneath it.

Next up, clean the tank and set it down so I can spend a small fortune getting it filled and plumbed before the next storm. Still debating how I am going to paint it.

Anyway, enough about a small piece of concrete....

I would rather buy new ones and agree they should have been a different color. We needed scaffolding to install and I'm not doing that for a while.

The LED lights are cheap. When one burns out I will change them all out since the scaffolding costs a bit.

Finished my rafters on Thursday. Friday morning I started with OSB. When putting up the first panel, a big gust of wind came from nowhere and lifted that OSB, which lifted me, and the ladder also. Big tumble of about 12 ft. I spent the night in ICU in Flagstaff Medical Center. Fractured 6 ribs, which is very painful. I’m very fortunate that I didn’t break my back or get a head injury. Project on hold for awhile.

I rented a 14 foot A frame ladder from Home Depot a few years ago for $50. Had to change out a chandelier on 18 ft ceiling.

I'll have to look into that. I would need a bit taller, but it could be a better option.

Rear and some of the front done.

Two more sections of the front to do. Just amazed at how fast the hail can just rip paint off.

I am a firm believer in helping neighbors especially those who can't fend for themselves. I live in a golf course neighborhood/town (we haven our own PD, city hall, etc) and many of the residents are elderly. I get on Nextdoor and see ppl asking for help to assemble furniture or asking for a notary so I'll hit them up and help when I can - no charge. Today had to notarize a will for some folks and they tried to pay - nah y'all keep it for the next time a golf ball comes through a window. I see all sorts of handymen quoting prices for the most mundane things and many of my neighbors are on S.S. so I love to just do it for nothing. Feels good to help these older folks - one day I'll be in their shoes.

Well, didn't turn out bad. A little drilling, a little head shaking, and a little patience...:anonymous:

No tools were thrown in the repair of this grill. Now to order a skillet and be done.

That's my "Funky Fence." I got tired of people watching me do yard projects or looking over our metal alley fence and talking to me. Thought I'd mix it up a bit... and I like color.

Repaired ma’s chain link fence today. Neighbor’s tree fell on it a while back and after many promises to fix it, they never have. She finally gave up on them and we fixed it up today.

Cutting the galvanized posts with a grinding wheel was really the only pain in the ass part of it. Checked something new off the experiences list.

Although wood laid over structural wood outdoors for cosmetic reasons will accelerate the structural to rot quicker due to moisture from many factors. Better to replace the structural support with a single support. It does look good.

The columns on the house I built in 2007 were done this way. Treated 4x4 post columns for structural support, wrapped in cedar to make them 8x8. They are still going strong today…
