I am preparing to “build” out my 2018 crew max trd off road.

    Already has rear air bags
I would like to do something like this
    -2.0 or 2.5 coilovers
    -matching rear shocks
    (Mid travel type kit)
-front winch bumper (sleek as possible)
    -badlands 12k winch
-i would like to keep stock wheels
    -285 75 18s undecided on what tire
    - rear elocker
    -pedal monster

recommendations on suspension/what is the best deal. Fox, icon, dirtking etc?

    thanks

What’s your use for the truck?

Percentage of it being on the pavement vs off the pavement?

That ultimately determines where guys/gals here will steer you towards the direction you want to go.

ICON 2.5 CDCV coilovers with 2.5 RXT rear shocks + RXT leaf springs. You'll be bombing through the trail.

Then I would get the Bilstein. They're the best shocks for what you are going to use them for. And extremely good value.
    Bilstein 6112 front , 5160 Rear

As for tires, I got Toyo RT on my Land Cruiser and Toyo AT3.

I would go for the Toyo RT because of the grip off road. Plus the noise level is the same as my AT3, which is surprising as the AT is supposed to be quieter

If you got time, this is a really good video on shocks

Doesn’t look like you’ll be going through any washes or even whoops.

Definitely would suggest just going with 6112/5160 on the lower end, Fox and Kings on the higher end. Factory specs 2.5 Fox/Kings if you just want to have something flashier with more adjustability to your needs.

So here’s the thing with the hunting portion, a lot of times I use the same trails as guys that take jeeps and Tacoma’s, I wouldn’t say big rock wheeling, but moderate for sure. Speed is important at times for sure, not the extreme of whoops but yes washes for sure and more than FS roads.

Unless if you’re bombing through, not sure if big rocks are big like the granite rocks in Cali, but I think you can get away with wheeling with 6112/5160. Seems like plenty do so with this combo to be on the cheaper end.

Like I said, if money isn’t an issue, then Fox/Kings.

It almost looks like the Fox 2.0 and m bilsteins are the same price on sale.
Ya at times hitting roads hard, sometimes extremely slow. I’m interested in the bilsteins

6112 has a body closer to the 2.5, but it’s tried and true; lots of members here have put those Bilsteins through the tests.

As for tires, personally, Toyo RT here in New England was very crappy. Super slippery.

I have yet to try Nitto, but currently have General Grabber X3 on and have a set of Milestar Patagonia lined up after I get rid of the Grabbers.

The Grabbers have been (between them and Toyo) have been night and day. Super grippy, lasting a very long time. I would suggest it.

That’s the jump I’m really questioning. Price really gets up there, I don’t mind spending $ to get quality, but the jump from 2.0 to 2.5 idk if it’s justified for bit a full time wheeler
