Making the trusses is no joke, about 45 min each. Only 10 more to go. They are 18'-6" wide.

It's been one of those days, putty failed so I cut them old lines... got some of them sleeves, fixed the actual leak, but a joint, exploded at a 1/4 turn of the water main..... saw it from the street, no need to go see... turned the water off. Repaired it with a spare sleeve. Gave it 5 minutes, go to turn the water main on, 1/4 turn and I hear water running again..... So I drained it again asked my kid to turn it back on so I could see the failure.
. Well the other sleeve failed... So back I go to Holmes depot, got a sleeve, repaired it, good to.. but now I see water rising very slightly, T fitting has failed... bruh... I'm about to just cap this system, call it a year.. I'll water my grass with the hose...

Nothing crazy at all here like mentioned above ^^^
The branding iron we designed came Friday and we hit up a couple of the pieces, it turned out better than planned.

Thanks, and yes indeed they do! It seems like my 4 and a half year old was just born the other day. Having kids later in life (I was just about to turn 40 when the first was born, and will be 44 for the next one), I feel like it goes by even faster than those who have them young. The days are long but the years are short.

I have Been building a pirate ship for my boys for the last 3 weekends. Has been a lot of work milling 1x12s down to a dimension that is better scaled for the project, ran the router over almost every edge.
Still have to finish installing the railing, install the wheel and flag pole. I was going to build a ladder, but my wife found an old wooden one off market place for $5. Just have a few days to finish before the bday party for my oldest.

No birds mouth, only hurricane clips and A35's on blocks. Not enough pitch to warrant it.

Roof and corner trim are done. Just have the ramp and shelving inside to plug away at. But no hurry

We should hook up and compare notes. Not a lot of Tundra's around here that are willing to take them to the next level.

Shop. I already have a man cave. I need a space, so the man cave isn't over run. Also a place to store tools and bikes.

If you've got racoons around make sure you get some hardware cloth wherever they can get their grubby little paws. They love chickens and will not stop trying to get them. I've had them rip through chicken wire, rip apart OSB, and dig under walls.

No racoons, maybe some foxes. Raptors are more likely a problem.

We'll see. I may be opening up a local buffet for our birds of prey.

upgrading hvac upstairs, will do downstairs next year. ish aint cheap. ive got a significant solar installation and two tesla powerwall full home backup batteries so switching from gas heating to a heat pump running off electricity. no more gas heating at least for upstairs this coming winter! solar and battery combination already fully powering the house about 40%/day with ac set to 74 degrees at 3,700 sq ft. forever home so continuing to invest in home efficiencies...

Feeling a lot more sore than I should be at this point. But it was a productive day around the homestead...

serviced the mower and replaced the belt that snapped mid run. Then put the posts in the ground for the lean to. also picked up the framing and the concrete for the pad that I hope to get done tomorrow for the propane tank.... we will see...

So much to do and so little time before little man gets here....

    Almost forgot this from yesterday....

So for those who are wondering if it works... yes... yes it does. I am going to look up the do it yourself solution, but it smells/acts like dish soap and chlorine.

here is where I ran out and you can see clearly where it was sprayed on and where I missed it. I need to grab a photo of my door because it is clear as day there too... but its 90% better for 20$ and 15 minutes of work.
