Either, I'm sure I've got them both beat. Maybe your 1GT has more, but IDK. I didn't really look into antiques when truck shopping so I don't know it's stats. Definitely have the tow ratings beat. Your 1GT might have better reliability but I think were on equally shaky ground with the 3rd Gen and the Ferd.

The 3rd Gen has a payload of 1395lbs, or 4 Ford owners and their gear. The 1st Gen is around 1600 - 1700lbs iirc, but I also have an add-a-leaf and Sumo Springs so that increases it a bit too.

Both my trucks have been quite reliable. Can't say the same about the Ford I used to own or the one I drive at work.

Personal was a 2013 F150 XLT 4X4 5.0L V8. Bought it used with 30,00kms on it in 2015. Sold it in 2015 with 42,000kms on it. Had over $6000 in warranty work plus roughly another $1500 out of pocket. 3 dealerships and Ford corporate made it clear they don't back their product or give a shit about their customers.

Work truck is a 2021 F150 with whatever the non ecoboost v6 is. Gutless as hell, electrical gremlins galore.

I also hate Ford seats and that dip in the window right where my arm rests. The F150 is the most uncomfortable truck I've ever driven.

 

Ah, early 5.0 woes. I did hear there were some issues, and a few others on down the road, but now it's a 12+ year old engine with most of the kinks worked out. Hoping so, at least.

The 2021 F150 with a NA V6!? That sounds awful. 1/2 tons now days (2007+) are just too big for a small displacement 6. Electrical spooks me, so I did get an extended warranty on all the electronics. Not wanting to play that game.

As for the mirror cutout on the door, I actually like it. It let them drop the mirror enough that it's got better visibility than the GM work trucks I had to drive for years. Those things sucked. You could hide a bus and a couple camrys in the blindspots on those trucks. Can't really argue with the comfort because it's so subjective. Everybody I know thinks the Nissans trucks have great seats, but after 20 minutes my back is hurting and after a few hours it's pure hell for me. Chevy seats are similar for me. I'd put the Ferd a little above the Tundra for seat comfort but similar, but both a bit above the Tacoma I had. The Rams I test drove were leagues ahead of all of them. Most comfortable trucks I've been in.
